SHARING YOUR WONDERFULLNESS
“I will make you a light to the nations, that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth” (Is 49:6).
How comforting. How confusing. It is comforting to hear Isaiah remind us that we “are made glorious in the sight of the Lord, and God is our strength!” We are not just somebody. God has made us “glorious”. He created us to be famous, special and wonderful in the sight of all. And this has been ever since we were first created. And since we are so special, God’s constant gaze within our hearts and souls becomes the very “light” that gives us the strength we need to keep doing good. This loving gaze is the very “light” within us that allows us to sing in the shower, to cry with people in need and to go that extra mile for someone we care about. God’s “light” in our lives gives us the strength to be happy, the guts to be proud, the vision to see good within bad situations. The more confusing part is that God has a much bigger plan for us. He wants us to let our light “reach to the ends of the earth.” How in the world can you, how can I, do some-thing that reaches to the ends of the earth? It’s simple. Share our wonderfulness one person at a time. I know it sounds crazy. But sharing our light, that very strength, that very gaze of God’s love that constantly strengthens us, is possible if we do it one person at a time. For every one person we bless they then go and bless five other people and those five bless 25 other people. You get the point. The number of people affected by one act of our wonderfulness can reach to the ends of the earth. Yes, each of us is a glorious creation, strengthened by God’s loving gaze. Let us go out and make all the difference in the world by sharing our “light”, our “wonderfulness”.

This course can be taken by catechists for credit to-wards Level II Diocesan Certification or can be taken by
persons simply wanting to grow in their knowledge of
the Catholic faith. All are welcome to join!
This course examines the concept of “sacrament” as it developed from pre-Christian times, was formally de-
fined by Catholic theologians, was understood by Protestants, and has emerged in contemporary theolo-
gy and practice. We will also consider each sacrament,
individually, tracing its history from earliest practices to contemporary understandings. Participants will be chal-
lenged to apply what they learn to their own lives as active members of the Church. The text for this course
will be: Doors to the Sacred: A Historical Introduction
to Sacraments in the Catholic Church by Joseph Martos (Vatican II Golden Anniversary Edition, 2014, published
by Liguori).
Registration is required. Please contact Stacy in the
