From the moment our clock radi- os click on in the morning, until the last moment of the day when the television is turned off or someone bids us good-night,our life is filled with words. Some words that we hear bring news that leaves us feeling low. Some words lift our spirits. Many of the words we hear are trying to get us to buy something. Some words are hurtful. Today the Church focuses our attention on hearing the word of God. Are Gods words just more of the same—part of the endless stream of words that flow into our ears each day? GOD’S WORDS

Each day we are bombarded with thousands of words. From the moment our clock radi-os click on in the morning, until the last moment of the day when the television is turned off or someone bids us “good-night,” our life is filled with words. Some words that we hear bring news that leaves us feeling low. Some words lift our spirits. Many of the words we hear are trying to get us to buy something. Some words are hurtful. Today the Church focuses our attention on hearing the word of God. Are God’s words just more of the same—part of the endless stream of words that flow into our ears each day? AUDIO DAILY READINGS

Visit: www.ourcatholicfaith.org/readings to hear the daily readings.

FROM THE ADMINISTRATOR All three of this Sunday's readings have something "fruitful" to say about living in the age of COVID-19. First, Isaiah reminds us that the word of God in the Bible is meant to nourish us spiritually so we "bear fruit." This nourishment can be simply, consolation and strength from God. Secondly, the Gospel tells us that in order to "bear fruit" we have to hear and understand the words of Jesus and take them to heart. Lastly, Paul speaks of creation, the physical world, "groaning" for redemption, like the redemption our bodies will experience a when Jesus comes again! In this time of uncer-tainty related to COVID-19, I encourage you to spend time reading the Bible, especially the Gospels and Letters. Let them encourage, refresh, renew, and give you peace and joy as we eagerly await the renewal of creation and an end to the pandemic. Peace be with you!

Precautions at Mass The Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston requests the follow-ing:

1. All attendees must wear a mask.

2. There must be an empty pew in front and back of you.

3. Unless you are attending with a friend or family there must be 6 feet of space between you and the nearest person. 4. At communion time we will process up the main aisle with 3 feet of separation, leave our facemasks on, receive Communion in the hand, walk away about 10 feet, then consume the Blessed Sacrament, and return to your pew. 5. After Mass please use the disinfectant in the vestibule to sanitize your hands. 6. The pews will be disinfected after each Mass. I know these requirements will be a discomfort for you and I. Let us offer our discomfort to God for the end of the Coro-navirus outbreak. Thank you!

ONLINE GIVERS Please contact the office, via phone or email, if your contri-bution is not supposed to be applied to Sunday Collection only. Thank you.

PRAYER TO THE HOLY FAMILY Lord Jesus Christ, who, being made subject to Mary and Jo-seph did consecrate domestic life by thy ineffable virtues: grant that we, with the assistance of both, may be taught by the example of The Holy Family and may attain to its ever-lasting fellowship. Who lives and reigns world without end. Amen.
