DEACON NEAL’S REFLECTION CORNER
Today is the last Sunday of Ordinary Time, also known as the Feast of Christ the King. We finish the Church year proclaiming that Jesus is our King. We all want to eventually share in his kingdom (heaven). If he is our King and we believe that, we should submit to his authority, and submit to those who he has put in charge during his absence. So often people pick and choose what they believe about the Catholic Church. If you do that, that is not submitting to the King. That is making up your own church. If we want to share in Christ's kingdom, we need to follow his teaching. As the Gospel ends today, with these words of Jesus, "You say I am a king. For this I was born and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice." The world needs us to listen to his voice, so that we can testify to the truth: JESUS IS OUR SAVIOR AND KING!!!
God Bless,
~Deacon Neal
