MA IN MARRIAGE AND FAMILY
We are delighted to announce our orthcoming MA in Marriage and
Family whichwill be delivered in collaboration with the Pontifcal
John Paul II Institute in Rome.This unique course is scheduled to
commence January 2011.*
The MA is a 30-month part-time distance learning course with
residential sessions held at
Maryvale. Within the structure o the course it is possible to
conclude studies at the level o
a Postgraduate Certifcate (one year) or Postgraduate Diploma
(two years).
Why consider this course?This course teaches the beauty o
the
Catholic vision or marriage and amily
lie. This vision is inormed in a particular
way by the lie and teaching o Pope John
Paul II. Students receive the academic
ormation necessary to ully understand
the needs o marriage and amily lie
and the particular challenges which
the modern world presents. With this
inormed understanding they can become
equipped to witness and serve marriage
and amily lie in our world today.
Course Content
Understanding Gods plan o love or the
human person in marriage and amily.
Such is the mystery o the person
created in the Image and Likeness o
God that the course embraces a multi-
disciplinary approach aith and reason
are both employed. The various academic
disciplines include philosophy, theological
anthropology, sacramental theology,
moral theology and the human sciences
such as psychology and sociology.
