    MY TESTIMONY

MARY STOBBE | This Far has the Lord helped us. 1 Sam 7:12 3

After the storm God gave to the world a rainbow.

    Genesis 9:13-17.

13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenantbetween me and the earth.14 Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds,15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of everykind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life.16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember theeverlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on theearth.17So God said to Noah, This is the sign of the covenant I have established betweenme and all life on the earth.

It was because of the storm that people could grow to appreciate Gods gift.

I found that only Jesus could feel the void and the emptiness in my soul. His

love and mercy always amazes me and it is never ending. The love of God can

take you out of your deepest depression and bring joy into your life. In the

middle of the night when you wake up and feel all alone, he is there to wipe

your tears away and give you peace and contentment. Nothing in this world

can give you joy, peace and a hope for tomorrow, but Jesus.

    John 10:14-17.

14I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Fatherand I lay down my life for thesheep.16 I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They toowill listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.17The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my lifeonly to take it up again.

I did not realize that I had left my first love Jesus. The prodigal daughter was

returning home and was in need of a savior named Jesus. I had fallen asleep

spiritually, and was so consumed by everything else that I did not even know,

until Jesus in all his love and mercy reached out to me and gave me a Second

chance. I was only looking at the world through my physical eyes, but my

spiritual eyes were blinded. I felt alone, scared and unsure of what to do.

    MY TESTIMONY

MARY STOBBE | This Far has the Lord helped us. 1 Sam 7:12 4

I realize what was missing in my life, was God's divine purpose and his perfect

    will not mine.

    Matthew 11:28-30.

28Come to me, all you who are wearyand burdened, and I will give you rest.29Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.30For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

God showed me through my valley that without seeking him first my life

lacked meaning and purpose. Without Jesus as my compass I lacked direction.

My decisions were based on my own selfish desires, not his. One day when I

was in a revival I received a word from the Lord. He said "Daughter

Restoration" from that moment on it was as if a light came on in my mind.I cried out to Jesus that night and re- dedicated my life to Him, but this time

with a hunger and passion like never before. It is like my life before was

surreal and it did not feel alive as it did now. My spirit was refreshed and the

Holy Spirit increased wisdom in me. He restored everything that I had lost. I

knew at that very moment, my identity, my hope and my future had always

been in Jesus Christ and what he did for me at the cross of Calvary.

    John 10:9-10.

9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and goout, and find pasture.10The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may havelife, and have it to the full

I started praying and seeking the Lord. I started having a hunger for the things

of Christ like never before. I got involved in the prayer group and Bible study

and it became manna from heaven for me. Every time I prayed for others, God

blessed me, every time I went to the bible teaching; something new was being

revealed to my spirit. When I grew weary, I prayed, and stayed in the wordand spent time talking to Jesus, this time I knew God was revealing himself to

me like never before because I was seeking him first.

    MY TESTIMONY

MARY STOBBE | This Far has the Lord helped us. 1 Sam 7:12 5

    Isaiah 40:28-31.

28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORDis the everlasting God, theCreator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and hisunderstanding no one can fathom.29

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.30Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;31 but those who hope in the LORDwill renew their strength. They will soar on wingslike eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

This time I was developing a friend and his name was Jesus, The more I seek

him the more I find him. He has become my father, my protector, my

comforter, my healer. He has become the best friend I would ever have and he

    accepted me unconditionally.

    Proverbs 18:24.

24 A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who stickscloser than a brother.

It did not matter about my past and all the things I did wrong. He took me

with all my brokenness and scars and lifted me up into his caring arms and

told me that he loved me and this was my new beginning.

    Isaiah 43:18-19.

18Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.19See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am makinga way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.

He gave me manna from heaven that has renewed a love in me like never

before. My compassion and love for the lost overwhelms me now. I do not

think of myself but of helping others and I long to share what he has done for

me. Jesus has become my great physician, who has taken care of me when I

was sick not just physically, but mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

    MY TESTIMONY

MARY STOBBE | This Far has the Lord helped us. 1 Sam 7:12 6

    Luke 15:11-24.

11 Jesus continued: There was a man who had two sons.12The younger one said to his father, Father, give me my share of the estate. So hedivided his property between them.13

Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distantcountry and there squandered his wealth in wild living.14 After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need.15 So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his

fields to feed pigs.16 He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one

gave him anything.17When he came to his senses, he said, How many of my fathers hired men have

food to spare, and here I am starving to death!18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned

against heaven and against you.19I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired men.20So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his

father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw hisarms around him and kissed him.21The son said to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I amno longer worthy to be called your son.22But the father said to his servants, Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him.Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet.23 Bring the fattened calf andkill it. Lets have a feast and celebrate.24For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found. So they

    began to celebrate.

I know now that by his stripes, I am healed, I was seeing through the eyes of

Jesus and it was so humble for me. In my brokenness and valley he has

restored my soul and my spirit and gave me a greater purpose like never

before. I have learned that there is nothing too big or too broken that he

cannot restore. No disease, no brokenness, no sin that God cannot forgive and

no sickness that he finds hard to heal.

    Genesis 18:14a.

14 Is anything too hard for the LORD?...

    MY TESTIMONY

MARY STOBBE | This Far has the Lord helped us. 1 Sam 7:12 7

He took my doubts and my fears and he is now creating a vessel to be used for

his glory. For through Jesus, the shedding of his blood at Calvary, he took my

broken heart and repaired it. He is the restorer of my life. What was lost is

now found again and I praise the Lord for his grace, love and mercy in my life.

He definitely took my ashes and has restored them to his beautiful purpose.Yes, there are days when I struggle and even make mistakes but I know I can

come boldly to the throne room of God to Obtain Mercy and Grace through

    Jesus, my great intercessor.

    Psalm 34:4-5.

4 I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.5 Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.

Philippians 2:12-13.12 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyednot only in my presence, but now much more in my absencecontinue to work out your salvation with fear andtrembling,13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.

God can take you where you are at the lowest point in your life and make a

masterpiece to use for his kingdom. It is through the valleys that your soul is

restored, unless you go through the valleys you may never learn, unless you

go through heartaches you can never be restored, God makes use of thesetimes in your life to restore you for the kingdom. He is everything, when I lost

my family he gave me strength, when I lost it all, he showed his glory to me.

He gave me love like no one else ever could. He gave me hope and he gave me

victory. Through your darkest despair, just remember that Jesus is always

there. He is waiting for you to call out to him. He already gave and did it all.

The question is what we are willing to deny for him. He is worth everything to

    me.

    Isaiah 43:1-7.

1 But now, this is what the LORDsayshe who created you, O Jacob, he who formedyou, O Israel:Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; youare mine.

2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass throughThe rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you willnot be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.

    MY TESTIMONY

MARY STOBBE | This Far has the Lord helped us. 1 Sam 7:12 9

I now decided that I would not just be a hearer of God's word and just sit on

the bench at church and listen to God's word, but be a doer of his word.

I now strive to live a life in obedience to God's word, even though I do not

always understand his ways; I know that his will is teaching me every day that

his purpose is far greater than I could ever imagine. His ways are perfect and he knows my future.

    Jeremiah 29:11-14.

11For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you andnot to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.14I will be found by you, declares the LORD, and will bring you back fromcaptivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banishedyou, declares the LORD, and will bring you back to the place from which I carriedyou into exile.

For I now know that God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son to

die for my sins. Jesus so loved me that he gave me another chance to get it

right. I testify today that God is King and Jesus is Lord and there is none

greater. God knows what you are going through. The word of God says He will

never leave you or forsake you.

Deuteronomy 31:8.8 The LORDhimself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor

forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.

    John 3:16-17.

16For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoeverbelieves in him shall not perish but have eternal life.17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save theworld through him.
