Mary Kate Mackie joined The Southern Group’s South Carolina office in 2017, bringing with her many years of experience in banking and finance, as well as government ethics. Early in her career, Mary Kate spent several years with First Bank Mortgage Partners, which broadened her understanding of how the financial system factors into business decisions in the public and private sectors. Prior to joining Southern, Mary Kate worked for the South Carolina Senate Ethics Committee, during which time she acquired invaluable experience managing campaign contributions and expenditures. Mary Kate graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina with a BA in mass communications and political science. While a student, Mary Kate was a dedicated member of student government and Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Presently, Mary Kate belongs to several organizations, including Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Mary Kate Mackie joined The Southern Group’s South Carolina office in 2017, bringing with her many years of experience in banking and finance, as well as government ethics.
