Me daban la bienvenida con los brazos abiertos cada vez que tocaba en Café Mambo. Probablemente he tocado allí algo como 20 veces y siempre es un ambiente increíble, tanto tocar al atardecer como cerrar la noche. Es siempre una gran fiesta y, como ya he dicho, son buenísimos amigos ahora. Espero que nuestra relación siga creciendo en los próximos años.

El tema candente de esta temporada es sobre todos los cambios que la isla está sufriendo, ¿qué opinas de esto? ¿Cómo piensas que ha cambiado Ibiza a lo largo de los años?Bueno, por supuesto que está cambiando, es inevitable. Ibiza para mí es la capital de las fiestas en el mundo y con eso viene el dinero, más gente, más turistas, así que las cosas inevitablemente van a cambiar.Pero creo que algunos clubes han mantenido la esencia de la vieja Ibiza, como Pacha por ejemplo.Por supuesto, por otro lado tenemos nuevos clubes como Hï Ibiza, que es más como un super club.Es una de esas cosas que tiene que seguir moviéndose todo el tiempo. Ibiza ha tenido tantos momentos increíbles en los últimos 30 años y sólo tiene que seguir moviéndose y mantener su buen rollo.

¿Te gustaría tener tu propia residencia en Ibiza un día? Si es así, ¿dónde te gustaría tenerla?Yo diría que Pacha siempre ha sido muy bueno conmigo. Mi primera actuación en la isla fue hace cuatro años en la Global Room en Pacha y siempre me cuidaron y creyeron en mí. Y allí toqué muchas veces, así que sería increíble llegar donde empecé y tener mi residencia en uno de los clubes más grandes y más famosos en el mundo. Ese sería mi objetivo. Y también una fiesta de día sería genial. Me encanta lo que Ibiza Rocks hace y Ushuaïa donde la fiesta empieza a las 16 o 17 horas. ¿Tienes un nombre o un concepto para esto en mente? Me encantaría tener una fiesta Luvbug por ejemplo, donde poder pinchar cada semana y traer a mis amigos que son productores, artistas o DJs. Eso sería otro objetivo seguro. Clubes antiguos, clubes nuevos... lo que cuenta para mí es tener un lineup increíble. Eso es lo más importante para mí. ¿Are you Night or Day?¡Esa es una pregunta difícil! Una de las cosas que me gusta más hacer en Ibiza es tomar un barco y ir al restaurante Ses Boques con un grupo de amigos y pasar el día bebiendo y de fiesta. Pero también por supuesto me encanta pinchar por la noche y irme de fiesta hasta las 6-7 de la mañana. ¡Así que supongo que soy ambos! Lo bueno de Ibiza es que puedes hacer ambas cosas ¡y pasarlo muy bien! Por eso Ibiza es mi lugar favorito en el mundo. Tengo increíbles recuerdos de los últimos años y no puedo esperar para crear más grandes recuerdos de este año y los años venideros.

Actualmente, después del éxito de LuvBug con White N3rd y JKAY, estás cambiando tu género musical - ¿qué podemos esperar de esta nueva empresa? Empecé LuvBug hace unos 3 años. Fue genial e hicimos un montón de remixes y actuaciones juntos. Sin embargo, todos los lanzamientos estaban bajo el nombre de LuvBug. Este año en cambio mi plan es lanzar discos bajo mi nombre, que es algo que nunca he hecho antes, y con un sonido definitivamente diferente, con un sentimiento más europeo, tribal, carnaval, tropical pero también con una esencia de tech house y deep house. Creciste en el sur de Londres, debes haber estado en el medio de la escena musical de Londres - ¿cómo crees que esto ha influido en tu estilo? Bueno, mi padre era un DJ así que de pequeño siempre escuchaba Masters at Work, Todd Terry, Frankie Knuckles, Armand Van Helden... Siempre me había encantado tocar el tipo de música de todos estos pioneros de la música house que escuché a través de mi padre. El sonido era un poco más UK house, deep house y después de pasar las últimas cuatro temporadas en Ibiza durante el verano, me gustó tocar este tipo de música en Pacha, Ushuaïa, Café Mambo. Y eso se refleja en las música que he producido durante el último año. Ahora estás pinchando en todo el mundo con un montón de fechas clave en Ibiza este verano - ¿en qué clubes de la isla te vamos a ver? Este verano en Ibiza ya he tocado en Pacha con Bob Sinclar para París by Night, y también tocaré en Ushuaïa para Disturbing Ibiza (el próximo 25 de agosto) y en Hï Ibiza con los Mambo Brothers. Estoy muy emocionado porque por primera vez tocarè en el nuevo club y además con ellos. He tocado muchas veces a lo largo de los años con Christian y Alan (Mambo Brothers) y estoy muy contento de que tengan su residencia, así que no puedo esperar para eso. También tocaré con Craig David en Ibiza Rocks el 31 de agosto. Son lugares muy diferentes, pero me gusta cambiar. El año pasado tuve una residencia en Pacha con Martin Solveig para My House cada miércoles y fue una gran experiencia. Es increíble dónde te puede llevar un club y cuanto puede ser diferente el rollo. Este año he decidido tocar en diferentes clubes con algunos amigos míos. Es genial poder mezclar tu amistad y trabajo. No veo el DJing como un trabajo porque es algo que me encanta hacer, pero es genial viajar y estar de gira con mis amigos y crear un gran ambiente de fiesta. Tienes una buena relación con los Mambo Brothers y estás tocando en su residencia en Ibiza - ¿cómo empezó esa relación? Bueno, la primera vez que toqué en Café Mambo fue hace unos cuatro años. Un amigo mío conocía muy bien a Christian y Alan, así que creo que un día él me presentó a ellos. Yo quería pinchar y pronto ¡me dejaron hacerlo! Son tan acogedores, como una familia.

Now you’re DJing all over the world with lots of key dates in Ibiza this summer – in which clubs of the island are we going to see you? This summer in Ibiza I've already played at Pacha with Bob Sinclar for Paris by Night, and will also play at Ushuaïa for Disturbing Ibiza (the next one on August 25th) and Hï Ibiza with the Mambo Brothers. I’m very excited about it because I’m playing in the brand new club for the first time and especially with them. I’ve played a lot of gigs over the years with Christian and Alan (Mambo Brothers) and I’m very happy that they’ve got their residency so I can’t wait for that. I’m also playing with Craig David at Ibiza Rocks on August 31st. They are very different venues but it’s nice to be diverse. Last year I had a residency

You’re currently changing your musical direction after experiencing success as LuvBug with White N3rd and JKAY - what can people expect from this new venture? I started LuvBug about 3 years ago. It was great and we did lots of remixes and gigs together. However, all of the releases were under LuvBug. This year instead my plan is to release records under my name, which is something I’ve never done before, and with a definitely different sound, with a more European, tribal, carnival, tropical feeling but also with an essence of tech house and deep house.

Growing up in South London you must have been in the midst of London’s music scene - how do you think this has influenced your style? Well, my dad was a DJ so when I grew up I always listened to Masters at Work, Todd Terry, Frankie Knuckles, Armand Van Helden… All of these house music pioneers that I grew up listening to through my dad, have always been the type of music that I’d loved to play. The sound was a little


Hï Ibiza, which is more like a super club.It’s one of those things that has to continue to move all the time. Ibiza has had so many incredible moments over the last 30 years and it just has to keep moving and keep the good vibes.

Would you like to have your own Ibiza residency one day? If so, where would you like to have it?I would say Pacha has always been very good to me. My very first gig on the island was in the Global Room at Pacha four years ago and they’ve always looked after me and believed in me. And I played there many times, so it would be amazing to go full circle and have my residency at one of the biggest and most famous clubs in the world. That would be my goal. And also a day party would be cool. I love what Ibiza Rocks does and Ushuaïa where the party is kicking off at 4 or 5 pm.

Do you already have a name or a concept for it in mind? I would love to have a Luvbug party for example where I would DJ every week and where I would bring my friends who are producers, artists or DJs. That would be another goal for sure. Old venues, new venues… for me it’s about having an incredible lineup. That’s the most important thing for me.

Are you Night or Day?That’s a hard question! One of my favourite things to do in Ibiza is take a boat and go to Ses Boques restaurant with a group of friends and spending the day drinking and partying. But also of course I love DJing at night time and party until 6/7 am. So I guess I’m both! The good thing about Ibiza is that you can do both and have an incredible time! That’s why Ibiza is my favourite place in the world. I've had great memories over the last years and I can’t wait to create more great memories this year and many years to come.

at Pacha with Martin Solveig for My House every Wednesday and that was a great experience. It’s amazing the journey that a club can take you on and how different the vibe can be. This year I’ve decided to play in different venues with some friends of mine. It’s great that you can mix your friendship and work. I don’t see DJing as a job because it is something that I love doing but it’s great to be travelling and touring with my friends and creating a great party vibe.

You’ve got a good relationship with the Mambo Brothers and you’re playing at their Hï Ibiza residency - how did that relationship begin? Well, the very first time I played at Café Mambo it was about four years ago. A friend of mine knew Christian and Alan very well so I think that I just went down one day and he introduced me to them. I wanted to have a play and soon they just let me do it! They are so welcoming, like a family. They welcomed me with open arms every time that I’ve played at Café Mambo. I’ve probably played there for about 20 times and it’s always an amazing vibe whether you play the sunset or whether you close the night. It’s always a great party and, as I said, they are great friends now. I hope that our relationship will continue to grow over the coming years.

The hot topic this season is about all the changes the island is experiencing, what are your thoughts on this? How do you feel Ibiza has changed over the years?Well, of course it’s changing, it’s inevitable. Ibiza for me is the party capital of the world and with that comes money, more people, more tourists, so things inevitably are going to change.But I think that some clubs have kept the essence of the old Ibiza, like Pacha for example.Of course on the other hand we have new clubs like

Entre 1985 y 1989 el artista Keith Haring (Pensilvania 1958, Nueva York 1990) creó 13 esculturas monumentales inspiradas en las rutinas de breakdancing coreografiadas que en la década de los 80 llenaron las calles de Nueva York, década en la que la música, la danza, la moda y el arte experimentaron en la ciudad de los rascacielos un trepidante auge en el entorno de energía e innovación de aquellos entusiastas años. Particularmente la danza inspiró el universo creativo de Keith Haring, que encontró su reflejo en sus piezas escultóricas únicas.

La serie de 13 obras fue exhibida en Park Avenue, entre las calles 53 y 74, en Manhattan, Nueva York, diez años después, durante el verano de 1997. Untitled (Headstand) representa el movimiento de un breakdancer y llega este verano a Ibiza en el marco de la exposición dedicada al artista americano y que puede visitarse hasta el próximo 30 de septiembre con entrada gratuita.

La imponente escultura, realizada en 1988 en hierro y de siete metros de altura, se ha instalado en el Paseo Joan Carles I de Ibiza el jueves 3 de agosto.

Between 1985 and 1989, the artist Keith Haring (Pensilvania 1958, New York 1990) created 13 monumental sculptures, inspired by choreographed breakdancing routines when music, dance, fashion and art were experiencing a boom in the energy and innovation environment of the 1980s. In particular, the dance act turned those images of people dancing to Keith Haring into which were reflected in his unique sculptural pieces.

The series of 13 pieces was exhibited on Park Avenue between 53 and 74, in Manhattan, New York, ten years later, in the summer of 1997. Untitled (Headstand) represents the movement of a breakdancer and it arrives this summer to Ibiza as part of the exhibition dedicated to the American artist on view at La Nave Salinas until September 30th with free admission.

The 7 metres iron-sculpture was created in 1988 and it’s on display at the Ibiza harbor, in Paseo Joan Carles I from Thursday 3rd August.

Let`s face it that Ibiza is most famous for the big clubs, parties, beach clubs and general debauchery, BUT there are more and more people seeking to find the other magic, the mystical, the natural beauty, the `wild` side of Ibiza, the secret places that people hear about, but does this really exist on the Party Island?

Well, if you are into tequila and mezcal this is the perfect place for you: Peyotito, the new Mexican restaurant part of the brand new Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay, located in Talamanca beach.

The service is impeccable and the food divine, all surrounded by the most beautiful scenery.

We ordered a Peyotito margarita, which was incredible, great balance and taste, sharp and strong, the best for sure on the island.

We started the meal with guacamole and home-made tostadas, followed by tostada de atún, chuletón & salsa borracha… I have to say, I cannot tell you which one tastes better!

The menu has a lot of food that’s exciting, there’s brightness and complexity to this food that makes it unique. Definitely the place to try for this 2017 summer here in Ibiza.

Dear readers, the scientific research increases the knowledge also in psychotherapy so I want to talk about EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) an important application. It is a psychotherapy treatment that is designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories.

The word trauma derives from Greek meaning “wound”, which means that these traumatic memories have somehow caused a wound.

There are different types of trauma: there are large T traumas and small t traumas, linked to experiences. Large T trauma is linked to extremely distressing experiences, in which a person has felt in danger or somehow threatened in his/her physical integrity. Small t traumas are relational traumas, which does not mean they are less important than large T traumas. These have to do with traumatic and conflictual relationships: people who have been bullied, mobbed or have experienced significant conflicts within a couple, abandonment, highly conflictual divorces or betrayals.These experiences have somehow caused a wound. We can understand what a situation that creates a wound on the SELF is.

The founder of this method (EMDR), Francine Shapiro understood that by doing bilateral stimulation right and left eye movements, like during the REM phase in our sleep, this processing system can be reactivated, while the person is concentrating on the traumatic memory and while the patient is focusing on an image, emotions cognitions and physical sensations linked to the traumatic event.

EMDR therapy facilitates the accessing and processing of trauma to bring this to an adaptive resolution.We will soon talk about EMDR with the President of EMDR Europe, Isabel Fernandez.

This column intends to bring some clarity to the psychic life that animates the moments of our lives and which we are often unaware of.

I’ll wait for advice, comments, and questions that we will try to clarify together.

Estimados lectores, la investigación científica aporta conocimientos también dentro del campo de la Psicoterapia, así quiero hablar de EMDR (Desensibilización y Reprocesamiento por Movimientos Oculares). Este es un tratamiento psicoterapéutico que ayuda a aliviar la ansiedad asociada con recuerdos traumáticos.

La palabra trauma proviene del griego y significa “herida”, de hecho, los recuerdos traumáticos nos causan en algún modo una herida.

Hay diferentes tipos de trauma: aquellos con la T mayúscula, y aquellos con t minúscula. El gran trauma T está vinculado a experiencias muy estresantes, en las que una persona se ha sentido en peligro la vida o de alguna manera ha visto afectada su integridad física. El pequeño trauma t está relacionado con las relaciones traumáticas, pero eso no quiere decir que sean traumas menos importantes que los grandes traumas T. Estos traumas t se refieren a las relaciones conflictivas o traumáticas con personas que han muerto o que tienen fuertes contrastes en su relación de pareja, son acosados o abandonados, son divorciados o con altos conflictos de traición. Estas experiencias de alguna manera causan lesiones. Podemos entender que se trata de una situación que crea una herida al YO interior.

El fundador de este método (EMDR), Francine Shapiro se dio cuenta que usando la estimulación bilateral derecha izquierda, como los movimientos de los ojos durante la fase REM del sueño, este sistema de elaboración puede ser reactivado mientras la persona está concentrada en el recuerdo del trauma y mientras el paciente se centra en la imagen, en la emoción, en la cognición y la sensación física relacionada con el evento traumático.

El método EMDR facilita el proceso de acceso y la elaboración del trauma para llegar a una resolución adaptativa. Pronto hablaremos de EMDR con la Presidenta de EMDR Europa, Isabel Fernández.

Estas notas pretenden aclarar un poco sobre la vida psíquica que anima los momentos de nuestra vida y de los cuales a menudo no somos conscientes.

EMDR FOR TRAUMA: EARTHQUAKES INSIDE AND OUTSIDE


Hello readers and lovers of Night&Day Magazine, this month I am excited to introduce you to a person part of the Ibiza Yoga Community project.

Luna Bogani, born in Milan, 34, always had a special interest in shamanism and esotericism.

After several trips and courses, she developed a new therapy mixing elements from various cultures; LUNAR therapy, a journey to the soul through the sound of ancient Tibetan bowls, pranotherapy, incense and hot herbal tampons.

She joined us a few months ago as a student of the aeroyoga classes in our centre and from there our relationship has been growing leading us to create this collaboration.

A meditation that helps us tune into the high frequency of different ancient and sacred instruments such as Gongs, Tibetan bowls, drums, chanting and mantras.

When we listen to the stream of sound and its vibration, we receive a sonic massage that refines our Being to a greater resonance.

Si algún hombre al leer esto se está riendo y pensado que, si escucha al 100% a su mujer acabaría loco, que entienda que ellas hablan mucho más que nosotros por como funciona su mente, repito son más rápidas. Nosotros debemos saber sintetizar sus argumentos, ¡no escucharlo todo! Saber cuando es realmente importante escucharlas y observarlas como lo hacen ellas con nosotros. Por último, un par de ejemplos prácticos que os ayudarán a entender de qué hablo... Mis padres llevan 55 años juntos y un día pillé a mi padre arrimándose apasionadamente a mi madre en la cocina. Esa escena típica de veinteañeros me impresionó. Le pregunté; “Cómo puede ser después de tanto tiempo juntos que sigas con tanta pasión?”. La respuesta que me dio fue para mi el resumen de todo; “Nunca he hecho nada, por mucho que me apeteciera, que supiera de ante mano que a ella le iba a molestar o incluso incomodar, eso mantiene la pasión viva”. Una amiga un día me dijo que se iba a separar. Me contó que su novio la engañaba. Al contarme la historia sobre como lo había pillado se quedó pensativa y me dijo; “Max, ¡estaba tan enamorada! Y de la noche a la mañana se me ha pasado. Y no ha sido por la infidelidad en si, ha sido porque y como le he pillado. Y porque al pillarle me he dado cuenta de que no era tan listo como yo creía”. Mi amiga se desenamoró porque ya no le vio inteligente o listo. Ellas pueden tolerarnos muchas cosas como nosotros a ellas, pero no que seas tonto o imbécil. Cuida tu relación con ellas, no de ellas. Al cuidar la relación en global las cuidas a ellas sin que se den cuenta.

Son años ya los que llevo indagando sobre la infidelidad en la mujer. Me fascinó desde el primer momento ya que la mujer infiel es silenciosa y no deja muchas pistas. Al contrario que en el hombre, a ellas no se les ocurre guardar las fotos para enseñárselas después a las amigas o guardar trofeos de sus conquistas. Un día decidí escribir un libro sobre el tema. Al principio lo titulé; “Detrás de una mujer infiel siempre hay un imbécil” pero después de un tiempo me di cuenta que debía añadir un “casi” por que la mujer infiel por naturaleza como en el hombre también existe. Como evitar que ellas nos pongan “los cuernos”? Ellas son mucho más cerebrales que nosotros. O están enamoradas o buscan cualidades que les interesen para su proyecto de vida. A la mujer no hay que atenderla, hay que escucharla y respetarla. Ellas se saben cuidar muy bien solitas. Son muy inteligentes o al menos de eso están convencidas. Por si acaso, no las subestimes. Él que lo haga lo pasará mal en su intento de llevar una relación con ellas. Cuando la mujer empieza a darte una explicación, ya tiene plan A y plan B sobre como va a afrontar el tema. Incluso intuye lo que le vas a contestar con una exactitud que da miedo. En consecuencia ya sabe qué es lo que volverá a plantearte para al final terminar siempre donde ella quiere. ¡Y esta maravilla la hacen casi por instinto natural! Así que si queréis evitar que ellas busquen fuera lo que no sabéis ofrecerle, es muy bueno que sepáis con quien estáis tratando y hagáis un ejercicio de humildad ante ellas. Solo así tendréis una oportunidad. Ellas valoran en nosotros la humildad, el cariño, el trabajo, la escucha, el detalle. No quieren “regalitos”, quieren hombres que se esfuercen por

If a man, when reading this reacted by laughing and thinking that if he totally listened to his wife, he would end up crazy, he'd have to understand that women talk much more than we do because of the way their mind works; but I repeat, they are faster. We have to be able to summarise what they say, not listen to everything! We have to know when it is really important to listen to them and observe them the same way they do this with us. Finally, a couple of practical examples that will help you understand what I'm talking about... My parents have been together for 55 years and one day I caught my father cuddling passionately with my mother in the kitchen. That scene, typical of twenty-year-olds, impressed me. I asked him; "How can it be that after so much time together there's still so much passion?". The answer he gave summed up everything; "I've never done anything, as much as I wanted to, that I knew it was going to bother her or make her feel uncomfortable, that keeps the passion alive." A friend one day told me she was going to break up with her boyfriend. She told me that he had cheated on her. As she told me how she had caught him, she thoughtfully said to me; "Max, I was so in love! And from one day to the next I got over it. And it wasn't because of the cheating, it was because and how I caught him. And because when I caught him, I realized he wasn't as smart as I thought." My friend fell out because she no longer saw him clever or smart. Women can put up with many things from us as much as we do it with them, but not that we are stupid or imbecile. Take care of your relationship with them, not of them. By taking care of the relationship, you will take care of them without being aware of it.

It's been years that I have been investigating about infidelity in women. It fascinated me from the very beginning as the unfaithful woman is silent and doesn't leave many clues. Unlike men, she wouldn't dream of keeping compromising photos to show them later to her friends or keeping trophies of her conquests. One day I decided to write a book on the topic. At first I titled it "Behind an unfaithful woman there is always an imbecile", but after a while I realized that I should add an "almost" because unfaithful women by nature exist just as in men. How to avoid being cheated on? Women are much more cerebral than we are. Either they are in love or they are looking for qualities useful to reach their goals. The woman doesn't need to be looked after, she has to be listened to and respected. They know how to take good care of themselves. They are very intelligent or at least they are convinced of that. Just in case, don't underestimate them. The one who does it, will have a bad time when trying to have a relationship with them. When the woman starts giving you an explanation, she already has a plan A and a plan B about how she's going to tackle the issue. She can even sense what you are going to answer with a scary accuracy. Consequently, she already knows what she's going to tell you so that in the end she can get where she wants. And they do this amazing thing almost naturally! So, if you want to prevent them from looking outside for what you can't offer them, it is very important to know who you are dealing with and be humble. Only then you will have a chance. What they appreciate in us is our humility, affection, work, listening, detail. They don't want "gifts", they want men who strive to be sincere and truly listen to them.

Good morning everyone, I'm Laura Ognissanti and I'm a permanent makeup artist!

I’m a qualified professional with several years of experience in the field, a Master teacher at the Biotek Academy in Milan and I collaborate with many centres throughout Lombardy (Italy).

My work consists in the subcutaneous introduction of biocompatible and bioabsorbable pigments, which, differently from the classic tattoo, result in a very natural “pencil effect” and will gradually fade over time without letting strange traces and shades (blue, purple, green, etc.) and using machines and needles for delicate facial features.

From young to old, anyone can benefit from these treatments. I have organised a two day training event with the aim of teaching my personal techniques currently most used in my work and in our industry.

The reason behind Ibiza as a destination is obvious... sun and sea 365 days a year, with a makeup you can't wash away and that lasts for long! This intense training event is addressed to professionals of the beauty/art sector (fashion, make up, hairdressing, etc.), for those who are already doing permanent makeup or for those who simply want to learn important notions to possibly get into the profession in the future.

Mi trabajo consiste en la introducción subcutánea de pigmentos biocompatibles y bioreabsorbibles, con los que, a diferencia del tatuaje clásico, se obtiene un resultado muy natural, con “efecto lápiz”, que gradualmente desaparecerá con el tiempo, sin dejar trazas o tonalidades extrañas (azul, violeta, verde, etc.) y utilizando máquinas y agujas apropiadas para delicados rasgos faciales.

Los tratamientos están dirigidos a un público joven sino también a los adultos. He organizado un evento de formación de dos días con el objetivo de enseñar mis técnicas más utilizadas actualmente en mi trabajo y en nuestra industria.

The 15th of June was a fundamental date for the phone service in Europe, as roaming charges within the European Union were abolished. For those of you who don't know, roaming is a procedure that lets you trace a mobile device when it isn't in your network; for example when you go abroad your mobile phone is no longer hooked up to the network of our country of origin but you can still make calls or surf the internet because you rely on a network of the country where you are. This before entailed excessive costs and if you used your phone extensively, you had two options: either buy a SIM card, perhaps a temporary one, in the country where you were or activate the expensive tariffs of your operator.Now, since 15th June, all this has ceased to exist. When you are in a European Union country you can use your own tariff plan at no extra cost, so you can call, send text messages and surf the net without any thoughts. The only hitch might be in the number of Gigabyte you can use; by and large you can use all data of your offer, though some operators may limit their number. However, they have to inform you via text, so pay attention to the messages that you receive. Overall, the only thing the user has to do to enjoy this service is activate the roaming option on each mobile device. This was made possible by a regulation approved by the European Parliament on 7th April, with 579 votes in favor, 27 against and 50 abstentions, and which was officially adopted on 15th June 2017.

Para los que no lo saben, la itinerancia de voz y datos, también conocida como roaming, es un procedimiento que permite rastrear un dispositivo móvil cuando no está en su red; por ejemplo, cuando vamos al extranjero, nuestro teléfono móvil ya no está enganchado a la red de nuestro país de origen, pero todavía se pueden hacer llamadas o navegar por Internet, ya que se apoya en una red del país donde estamos. Todo esto antes conllevaba costos excesivos y para el uso intensivo del móvil había dos alternativas: o comprar una tarjeta SIM, tal vez temporal, en el país extranjero donde estabais, o activar las costosas tarifas de vuestro operador.Desde el 15 de junio, todo esto ya no existe; cuando os encontráis en un país de la Unión Europea podéis utilizar vuestro plan de tarifas sin costo adicional, para que podáis llamar, enviar SMS y navegar sin pensamientos. El único problema puede estar en el número de gigabytes que pueden ser utilizados; por lo general, todos los datos de vuestra oferta están incluidos, aunque algunos operadores pueden limitar su número. Sin embargo, ellos están obligados a advertiros por SMS así que prestad atención a las comunicaciones que recibís. En general, lo único que el usuario debe hacer para disfrutar de este servicio es activar la opción de roaming en cada dispositivo móvil. Esto fue posible gracias a una ley que el Parlamento Europeo adoptó el 7 de abril, con 579 votos a favor, 27 en contra y 50 abstenciones, y entró en vigor oficialmente el 15 de junio de 2017.

As many of you already know, my yoga practice begins with an intention and develops through chained and fluid movements that are very similar to dance or Qi Gong.

When you flow, there is no resistance, there is no mind. You surrender. It's like dancing, you don't think about the next step. You simply feel the music and you move, flow or melt with it. When you flow, you feel absorbed by the activity itself, with pleasure and enjoyment.

To flow is to trust, to flow is to accept. To flow is to be in the here and now without waiting, without judging or comparing.

As well as martial arts, to flow is to use the energy that comes to you to transform it and send it empowered outwards. "Be water my friend"; what Bruce Lee told us reminds us of that state of flow. Water runs without sticking to the stones, it molds to make its journey and reach its destination that is the immensity of the sea. To flow is to advance, to go back, to flow is to rise, to descend. Like any learning process, one day we are very happy and the other we are very sad... but everything passes. With this in mind we enter into a state of present acceptance, flowing with the rhythms of life and nature. Remember that, every moment is unique and perfect, just like YOU. No comparisons. TRUST! Be water my friend, be clear in your intentions and goals and let the Universe and Gravity do their work. In the end, you will be where you have to be.

Como muchos ya saben mi práctica de yoga empieza con una intención y se desarrolla a través de movimientos encadenados y fluidos que recuerdan mucho a la danza o el Qi Gong.

Cuando fluyes no hay resistencia, no hay mente. Te entregas. Es como bailar, no piensas en el siguiente paso. Simplemente sientes la música y te mueves, fluyes o te fundes con ella. Cuando fluyes te sientes absorto por la misma actividad, con placer y disfrute.

Fluir es confiar, fluir es aceptar. Fluir es estar en el aquí y ahora sin esperar, sin juzgar ni comparar.

Como las artes marciales fluir es utilizar la energía que te viene para transformarla y mandarla empoderada hacia afuera. “Be water my friend” que nos decía Bruce Lee nos recuerda ese estado de fluir. El agua corre sin apegarse a las piedras, ella se va moldeando para hacer su recorrido y llegar a su destino que es la inmensidad del mar. Fluir es avanzar, es retroceder, fluir es subir, es bajar. Como cualquier proceso de aprendizaje un día estamos en la cima de la alegría y otros tocamos fondo por la tristeza… pero todo pasa. Así que sabiendo esto entramos en un estado de aceptación presente, fluyendo con los ritmos de la vida y la naturaleza. Recuerda que, al igual que TÚ, cada momento es único y perfecto. Sin comparaciones. ¡CONFÍA! Be water my friend, sé claro en tus intenciones y objetivos y deja que el Universo y la Gravedad hagan su trabajo. Al final estarás donde tienes que estar.

Ball Pagès, the courtship dance.A single blow of the castanets is enough to draw my attention... First they play the drum and the flute and then the castanets, and that is when an inexplicable emotion invades me. Thursday 6.15 pm, courtyard of the Church of Sant Miquel de Balansat. As every Thursday, the "Colla de Balansat" offers a performance of our Ibiza folklore, the Ball Pagès. The Ball Pagès, mainly consists of four dances: "Sa Curta" (the short dance), "Sa Llarga" (the log dance), "Sa Filera" (the line dance) and "Ses Nou (o dozce) Rodades" (the dance of the nine, or twelve, circles). The instruments used are the castanets, the drum, the flute, the espassi and the xeremia. Both man's and woman's costumes, as well as the attractive jewels and ornaments, show us the reflection of a tradition, a history, a past, our roots.The Ball Pagès is generally a courtship dance. In the dance of "Sa Llarga" the man, with a hard castanets sound, chooses the woman he wants to dance with, and then the game between the two begins. The woman with downcast eyes and arms close to her body, moves in smooth, tiny steps in small circles and the man dances around her executing high, light-footed leaps with legs extended far up showing his boldness, strength and skill. At the end of this dance the man kneels in front of the lady excusing his boldness.In the "Ses Nou Rodades" dance, we see a small difference. It represents a wedding ceremony, where nine couples (or twelve) perform the dance at the same time. The man shows no sign of boldness; actually, he reflects, in my opinion, the equality and respect between the couple. This is the most spectacular dance as we see all couples dance, creating a festive and very happy atmosphere.A reunion of emotions and coincidences. At the end of the dance people usually meet in "Can Xicu" bar, which is next to the Church of Sant Miquel. It is a very peculiar bar, of the few that still keep the essence of Ibiza. There I had the honor to meet Toni den Planes...

Ball Pagès, el baile del cortejo.Escuchar un sólo golpe seco de las casta ñuelas es suficiente para llamar toda mi atención… Primero suenan el tambor y la flauta y a continuación acompañan las castañuelas, y es ahí cuando una emoción inexplicable me invade. Jueves 18,15 horas, patio de la Iglesia de Sant Miquel de Balansat. La “Colla de Balansat”, como cada jueves, ofrece una muestra de nuestro folclore ibicenco, el Ball Pagès. El Ball Pagès, principalmente está compuesto por cuatro danzas: “Sa Curta”, “Sa Llarga”, “Sa Filera” y “Ses Nou (o dozce) Rodades”. Y los instrumentos utilizados, son las castañuelas, el tambor, la flauta, s‘espassi y la xeremia. Los trajes, tanto del hombre como el de la mujer, así como las vistosas joyas y adornos, nos muestran el reflejo de una tradición, de una historia, de un pasado, de nuestras raíces.El Ball Pagès generalmente es un baile del cortejo. En la danza de “Sa LLarga” podemos ver como el hombre a golpe de castañuela elige a la mujer con la que quiere bailar y entonces empieza el juego entre ambos. La mujer con la mirada baja y los brazos pegados al cuerpo se mueve dando pasos muy cortos dibujando círculos en el suelo y el hombre baila alrededor de ella dando grandes saltos lanzando sus piernas hacía arriba demostrando su osadía, fuerza y habilidad. Acabado el baile el hombre se arrodilla ante ella disculpándose de su atrevimiento.En la danza de “Ses Nou (o dozce) Rodades”, vemos una pequeña diferencia, representa el baile de los novios de la boda, y nueve parejas (o doce) salen a bailar a la vez por igual, no vemos ninguna muestra de osadía por parte del hombre, si no todo lo contrario, refleja a mi entender la igualdad y respeto entre la pareja. Esta danza es la más espectacular al ver todas las parejas danzar, creando un ambiente festivo muy alegre.Reencuentro de emociones y de casualidades. Acabado el baile la gente suele reunirse en el bar-estanco “Can Xicu” que está al lado de la Iglesia de Sant Miquel. Es un bar muy peculiar, de los pocos que mantiene todavía la esencia de Ibiza. Allí tuve el honor de conocer a Toni den Planes…

Toni den Planes, whose name is of the square of the Church of Sant Miquel, at the age of 87 turns out to be a great folklorist, he plays two flutes at the same time; pioneer in the promotion of our folklore, both inside and outside the island. A kind, simple person with a great heart and a passion for our culture and tradition. "Can Xicu" bar has a room where we can see numerous photos showing the beginnings and career path of Toni den Planes, journeys, events, films, books, a variety of objects and instruments, a path cultivated with effort and passion to make our folklore known to the world.I perceive in the atmosphere of the bar that he is a very dear person, admired and respected, the caress of his daughter on his cheek gets me emotional and confirms me that...

Suddenly in the same bar you hear an accordion played by a tourist from Navarre and then one of the musicians of the "Colla de Balansat" plays along with the castanets, creating and sharing a cheerful atmosphere, a fusion between cultures, and so you understand that music has no barriers or borders...

To end, the Ball Pagès can be classified as Night&Day, as people used to dance at dusk in wells and fountains, a custom that today in various festivities of the island still happens.

Respect and understanding for our traditions, no matter where one comes from, defines us as people, our way of acting, evolving. It is clear that then each one chooses their way, but on the base there must always be the respect for ourselves, for the others and for the place where we are.

Toni den Planes, cuyo nombre lleva la plaza de la Iglesia de Sant Miquel, resulta a sus 87 años ser un gran folclorista, percusor de sonar dos flautas a la vez; pionero en la promoción de nuestro folclore, tanto dentro de la Isla como fuera. Una persona amable, sencilla, con un gran corazón y un apasionado por nuestra cultura y tradición. El bar-estanco “Can Xicu”, tiene una sala donde podemos ver múltiples fotos testigos de los inicios y trayectoria de Toni den Planes, viajes, eventos, películas, libros, diversidad de objetos e instrumentos, todo un camino labrado con esfuerzo y pasión por dar a conocer nuestro folclore al mundo. Percibo en el ambiente del bar, que él es una persona muy querida, admirada y respetada, la acaricia de su hija en su mejilla, me emociona y así me lo confirma…

De repente en el mismo bar se escucha un acordeón que toca un turista procedente de Navarra y a continuación le acompañan castañuelas sonadas por uno de los músicos de la “Colla de Balansat”, creando y compartiendo un ambiente alegre, fusión entre culturas y uno entiende que la música no tiene barreras ni fronteras…

Y para acabar, el Ball Pagès lo podemos clasificar Night&Day, ya que antiguamente se solía bailar al atardecer en pozos y fuentes, costumbre que hoy en día en diversas festividades de la isla se ha recuperado.

El respeto y la comprensión por nuestras tradiciones, da igual de donde proceda uno, nos define como personas, nuestra forma de actuar de evolucionar. Está claro que luego cada uno elige su camino, pero nuestra base siempre debe ser el respeto por uno mismo, por los demás y por el lugar donde nos encontremos.

A: Come bellissima e simpaticissima è sempre Cristina Chiabotto. Sempre allegra, sorridente, disponibile e carina con tutti. La sera che abbiamo fatto la serata al “Pineta” con gli amici di “Cantine Ferrari” era raggiante!” In più è pure juventina come noi. Direi, la ragazza perfetta!M: Beh… Vogliamo parlare di Federica Nargi? Ex velina, ora giovane mamma, è stata la nostra “Dancing Queen” la sera del Flower Power a San Francesc, mentre DJ Pharma impazzava tra Abba, Gloria Gaynor e The Village People!A: Quella sera non me la dimenticherò mai! Noi due scatenati, facevamo gare di balli improbabili con una ballerina professionista più giovane di noi di quasi 20 anni! Ma ti ricordi che il giorno dopo avevamo dolori dappertutto e siamo rimasti bloccati con collo e schiena per quasi una settimana?M: Mi vuoi dire che stiamo invecchiando?A: No, che siamo invecchiati! E che forse sarebbe meglio smetterla di fare tutte queste serate in giro circondati da belle fanciulle e che dovremmo dedicarci a riposo, passeggiate sul lungomare, pesca e bocce.M: Beh, qui a Riccione non ci manca nulla e abbiamo tutto agosto per farlo! Y que tal vez deberíamos dejar de hacer todos estos espectáculos por todas partes rodeados de hermosas chicas y que deberíamos dedicarnos a descansar, pasear por el paseo marítimo, pescar y jugar a las bochas.M: Bueno, aquí en Riccione no nos falta nada, ¡y tenemos todo agosto para hacerlo! Scusate il titolo burlone, ovviamente in tutte le località del mondo l’alta stagione è la più cara e la più affollata. Ma va anche capito chi ha solo le ferie in questi periodi (e peggio ancora, le due settimane centrali). Per questo motivo, avendo il privilegio di poter frequentare l’isola in altri mesi, vorrei dare qualche consiglio a chi è costretto a scoprire Formentera nel momento peggiore: agosto.

Proprio l’ultimo articolo del mio blog riporta qualche segreto per salvarsi dalla ressa estiva, aggravata peraltro da migliaia e migliaia di turisti "mordi e fuggi" (quelli della gita di un giorno, devastante per Formentera).

Volete saperli?

1- Se tutto il mondo va a Illetas (indubbiamente una spiaggia incantevole, ma poco nei mesi estivi a mio parere), cercate un posto più tranquillo a Migjorn! 2- In un’isola con due benzinai soltanto, quanta fila troverete nei mesi estivi per fare rifornimento? Il mio consiglio è di andarci la sera tardissimo o all’alba (se ce la fate).3- Non andateci in agosto! Scherzo. Secondo me una mossa vincente è affittare una casa appena fuori i centri abitati. Avrete sempre delle ore del giorno e della notte immerse nel silenzio.

E visto che in ogni caso, essere a Formentera è sempre un privilegio, rispettiamola in ogni stagione.

Teniamo pulito questo paradiso!

Lo siento por el título chistoso, por supuesto, en todos los lugares del mundo la temporada alta es la más cara y la más concurrida. Pero también hay que entender los que sólo tienen vacaciones en estos tiempos (y lo que es peor, en las dos semanas centrales). Por esta razón, ya que tengo el privilegio de ir a la isla en otros meses, me gustaría dar un consejo a los que se ven obligados a descubrir Formentera en el peor momento: agosto.

El último artículo de mi blog muestra algún secreto para escapar de la multitud en verano, agravada también por miles y miles de turistas, del tipo "aquí te pillo, aquí te mato" (los del viaje de un día, devastador para Formentera).

¿Queréis saber cuáles son?

1- Si todo el mundo va a Illetas (sin duda, una playa preciosa, pero en mi opinión muy poco en los meses de verano), ¡buscad un lugar más tranquilo en Migjorn! 2- En una isla con sólo dos estaciones de servicio, ¿cuánto tiempo tendréis que hacer cola en los meses de verano para repostar? Mi consejo es ir allí muy tarde por la noche o en la madrugada (si lográis).3- ¡No vayáis en agosto! Estoy bromeando. Creo que es una decisión inteligente alquilar una casa en las afueras de la zona residencial. Siempre tendréis algunas horas del día o de la noche sumergidas en el silencio.

Y puesto que, en cualquier caso, estar en Formentera siempre es un privilegio, respetémosla en todas las estaciones.

¡Mantengamos limpio este paraíso!
