Martin D. Hill, 60 of Sterling, was born on June 27, 1955 and passed away Wed., July 8, 2015 in Sterling. Memorial services were held on Mon., July 13, 2015 at the Tennant Funeral Home with Pastor Jared Sonnenberg offi ciating. Inurnment followed at the Haxtun Cemetery. Memorials in Mr. Hill’s honor may be made to the Martin Hill Memorial Fund in care of Tennant Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1547, Sterling, CO 80751. Martin was born in Sterling to Walter Loren and Adelia “Dee” Rose (Dunning) Hill. He graduated from Haxtun High School and started working with Kansas Nebraska at age 19, then he worked in the energy fi eld up until his retirement from Sterling Energy on July 1, 2015. Martin was married to Ronda Kay Taylor from Sterling for the past 33 years. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, camping, and UTV riding. Martin was also an avid gun collector and a go-go

gadget enthusiast. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter “Pete” and Adelia “Dee.” Mr. Hill is survived by his wife Ronda; brother Roger Hill and wife Jackie of Clayton, Ohio and many special friends and family members. The Tennant Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Louise Ann (Art-zer) Ward, 77 of Las Vegas, Nev. (formerly of Sterling), was born on Feb. 5, 1938 and passed away on Sun., June 28, 2015 after a long battle with PKD, a kidney disease. Private services will be held in Las Vegas. Louise was born to John and Gertrude Sewald Artzer of Ster-ling. She lived in Las
her parents; infant son Johnny Ray Nelson; husbands Ernest Ward and Frank Nel-son; Frankie Nelson Jr., and Ginger Nelson; brothers John, Rich-ard, and Paul; sister Susie Minicheck; nep-hew Jesse Samber and niece Lisa Grace. Mrs. Ward is sur-vived by her daughter Susan (Steve) Moser and grandsons Jay
Azzano and Kyle Moser, all of Las Vegas, Nev.; granddaughters Samantha Nelson, Nicole Line-berry, Elexis Lamberton and great-granddaughter Ridley Cannell, all of Colorado; sisters Barbara Polini, Julie (Howard) Hettinger, Bernice Mills, Mary (Gary) Shultis, Margie (Jerry) Samber, Monica (Mike) Harrigan and Andrea (Howard) Shaw and brother Luke (Ceri) Artzer.
