FAITH FORMATION FORMACIÓN DE FE
For your reflection… Sometimes we lose sleep. It may be justified, because we are worried about the future of our family, or a health concern, or some other problem. Worries can distract us from fundamental things that, although they seem untrue, are even more true than the concrete worry that we bring. There is the issue of migration, political situations, and other social problems. What can be more real than all of this? These issues are very important, and they force us to focus our attention and effort on solving them, but truthfully all of these problems belong to time, and therefore they will pass. “Nothing disturbs you, nothing frightens you. Everything passes, God does not move,” says Saint Teresa of Jesus. That is to say, there is a bigger reality than what we are going through, bigger than ourselves and bigger than our problems, however immense they may seem. This is what gives us hope. It’s not that we don’t have to fight to improve ourselves, to solve our situations and make the world a better place; it’s to know that God is over everything and He opens in us a hope that is authentic and sheds light in our lives. This gives us peace and strength to continue fighting, without giving in to the worry that possesses us. This is what it is to be awake, to raise your head and see that the day of liberation is at hand!
