DESCRIPTION
Inspired by the legal aspects of the softwares’ licenses we thought of a wedding ring that, in combination with an internet service, skips all the bureaucratic procedures of a conventional marriage. The bride and groom can order wedding rings on-line and get married by slipping their fingers through the sealed rings and finally register on-line to formalize their marriage.

FIRST DATE IS ON-LINE. A RECENT STUDY IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA REVEALED THAT MORE THAN 12% OF THE AMERICAN MARRIED COUPLES MET ONLINE. Thisisagrowingtrendastheinternetbecomesanincreasinglymorepopularcontextforsocialinteractions.
Internetcanthereforebeconsideredasaspecial(non)locationwherepeoplemeetandfeelingsareshared.Thisphenomenaisduealsotoverypracticalreasons:meetingontheinternetiseasierandcheaper.
Can we imagine internet being the context in which the ritual of marriage takes place?
OBJECTS WITH A CONSEQUENCE. INTERACTION WITH OBJECTS CAN HAVE IMPLICATIONS THAT GO BEYOND THEIR SIMPLE USAGE.Forinstance,rippingalabelcanlegallyhavethesamesignificanceassigningacontract,makingalawyeranintegralpartofthedesignprocess.
