Bantha Tracks has enjoyed covering many Star Wars weddings in the “Almost Annual Wedding Editions,” but never before have we covered one that was so . . . focused. Thom and Tennille Khulman of Yuma, Arizona planned a unique ceremony to celebrate their love of each other and of Star Wars, and their friends pitched in to help create a memorable Mandalorian event.

The couple, who were married in a ceremony earlier in the year, chose July 25 during San Diego Comic-Con International as the setting where many of their Star Wars fan friends could gather for a wedding of a different sort. Friends created Mandalorian armor just for ceremony, aided by the Mandalorian Mercs, a group that claims to be the world’s largest Mandalorian costume club.
