Maroon 5 is an American poprock band from Los Angeles, California. The group originally formed in1994 as Kara's Flowers whilethey were still study in the

highschool. 

With a line-up of Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichaels, MickeyMadden and Ryan Dusick, theysigned to Reprise Records andreleased an album, The FourthWorld, in 1997.

After a lukewarm response to the album, the group separated and

they returned to the high school. In 2001, the group regrouped and added James Valentine tothe group, and a new direction chased under the name of
