MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL – Sr Margaret Ghosn We had a very busy week and our newsletter is full of the extracurricular activities that have been happening around the College. As we enter deeper into the Winter Season, may the Sacred Heart of Jesus warm you during this June month.
A reminder Monday 13th June is the Queen’s Birthday public holiday.
Dundas Library has free Home Work Help for school students from K-12 on every 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month from 5.30-7pm. An experienced tutor is there to assist.
In line with the College’s Student development policy, all students are expected to observe the fundamental standards of personal hygiene necessary to promote good health and well-being. It is essential that boys must be clean-shaven every day and that no facial hair or sideburns are permitted. As of Tuesday 14th June students who come un-shaven to the College will be sent home immediately by the Year Advisor and can only return once they have shaved.
All students must have an Opal card. Go to is www.transportnsw.info/school-students All students that have not received a card will need to re-apply otherwise you will not be able to board the buses.
Yr 5 Excursion to Mary MacKillop Place on Thursday 16th June Jidoo and Tayta Mass on 29/6/2016 – all grandparents are invited to the Mass followed by morning tea. Buy-A-Brick campaign. Extension students showcased their inventions on 6/6/16 – Congratulations to Grace Sleiman, Julien El Bazouni and Josef Boumelhem for winning the Yrs 3-6 competition with their invention ‘Robert the Robot’ and Jude Hashem and Audrey Moussa who won the Yrs 1-2 competition with their design ’Super Slider.’

PARENT CORNER Elisabeth Sacco from RMS conducted a safe learner driver workshop for parents and student learner drivers at our College. - The workshop provided the latest information and tips for L drivers and parents. Effective Parenting Course – Session 2 (Free Course) - MaroniteCare in partnership with MCHF PESN invite all to the second session ‘Parental Control: Structure vs Chaos’ of the Effective Parenting Course led by Dr Dima Akik to be held on Tues 21st June at OLOL CYPC at 10am (Arabic) or 7pm (English) with registrations taking place 30mins prior to commencement of sessions.
