Marley Mae is the third square in a series that I am designing as a legacy for my grandchildren. Marley loves the ocean and volleyball; she’s analytical, has a wicked cynical sense of humor and sings like a bird. She’s a complicated girl that

requires a bit more complicated square. 😊 You can find Lauren Rose and Macey Ann squares, named after two of my grandchildren, are free and available on my Ravelry page. Hook: 4.5 mm or any hook you wish, as gauge is not important Crochet Terms: US terminology throughout Yarn Used: I Love This Cotton (Worsted Weight), 100% cotton Colors used: The colors used in the rounds of the pattern are for the square shown above. Photos used for stitch placement instructions, are to help identify the stitch.

(Double) Magic Ring Video from Oombawka Design: https://youtu.be/tLFTOm3SlqU

Standing Stitch • Start with a slst on your hook. • Insert your hook into the designated stitch or chain space and finish the stitch as normal. Moogly Video: https://youtu.be/8MsVeIId2UY

BLO

When instructed to work into the "back loops only," you’ll want to insert your hook ONLY under the back loop, without the hook going under the front loop. Each stitch is formed as usual, EXCEPT that after you wrap the hook around the yarn to form the first part of the stitch, you only reach under the back loop, then complete the rest of my stitch. This picture and information can be found at The Spruce Crafts website at: https://www.thesprucecrafts.com/back-loop-only-or-blo-in-crochet-978579
