Which Will Be on Display at Marlee’s by Tapper’s May 4 NOVI, MI (April 30, 2013) – Marlee’s by Tapper’s welcomes Michigan-‐based jewelry designer Marlaina Stone to its Twelve Oaks Mall location for a personal appearance and trunk show this Saturday featuring two brand-‐new collections available exclusively at Marlee’s – Marlaina Lite and Marlaina Couture. Stone, known for her daring and bold artistic pieces, will be at Marlee’s from 11 a.m.-‐6 p.m. Saturday, May 4. Shoppers will enjoy a special 10-‐percent savings on Marlaina Stone pieces during the event. “Marlee’s by Tapper’s is enjoying a phenomenal partnership with Marlaina Stone,” says Ann Duke, director of marketing for Marlee’s and Tappers Diamonds and Fine Jewelry. “We approached Marlaina with a request by some customers for lighter weight pieces, that still embraced Marlaina’s daredevil design philosophy and more affordable price point. Stone didn’t hesitate to bring us a new collection called Marlaina Stone Lite. Her new Marlaina Couture collection uses more rare materials like crystals and semi-‐precious stones. Both are exclusively available at Marlee’s!” says Duke. Stone’s new collections – Marlaina Lite and Marlaina Couture – give the designer the opportunity to reach a broader audience. Marlaina Lite will use lightweight clasps and more delicate stones and chains, but will still embrace Stone’s unmistakable look. Her Couture collection will contain mostly one-‐of-‐kind pieces, but will instead infuse semi precious stones and crystals that will appeal to the most discerning jewelry buyers. Each Marlaina Stone piece is intended to be wearable art that pulses with energy. Stone’s unique pieces infuse fashion and science to produce a seemingly incongruous mix of beads, and chains. The entire collection, primarily composed of bracelets and necklaces, is carefully crafted by hand in Birmingham, Michigan to ensure the utmost quality.
