The indicator only looks for price behavior that has the highest statistical probability of becoming a turning point (or a retracement, swing etc). You miss out on few trades, but you also reduce your risk. If you like minimal risk, and are patient, then this mode will suit you well.

BALANCED MODE

The best of both worlds. This is my favorite, and indicator's default setting. It combines reasonable risk and maximum return on investment. Most users trade with this setting.

MANUAL MODE

If for some reason the first 3 indicator modes do not fit your market or time frame, don't worry, there's a mode for that too! Manual mode lets you define custom settings to fit your specific trading portfolio, strategy, and style. Two simple settings, Range and Sensitivity, give you the complete control over MarketScalper PRO's behavior. One targets the magnitude of the price range, the other, risk. The example below is manually configured for narrow range and more aggressive behavior. If you traded each signal with just 10-pip take profit...well you get the point.

MODE MANAGEMENT AND BACKTESTING

MarketScalper PRO issues real-time alerts but also draws all of the historic arrow signals based on selected mode, allowing for easy visual backtesting. MarketScalper PRO comes bundled with a trading dashboard, comprised of Mode Selection and Market Snapshot Pro modules. The first keeps track of mode (and related settings) currently being applied, making referencing a split-second effort. The latter is a powerful market monitoring tool, used to visually validate each signal through affirmation of prevailing bias and trend.

RAZOR5 ENGINE

MarketScalper PRO v5's new algorithm was built from scratch, and incorporates 3 times as many subroutines as previously found in v4, each one independently detecting, comparing, and qualifying momentum exhaustion, retracements, and other scalping opportunities. o SIGNAL FILTERING

We all know how turbulent markets can get, especially during news. For the first time ever, MarketScalper PRO now includes a user-activated filter, which independently qualifies and rates each signal, informing users of only the most probable turning points. The filter, which is on by default, can be activated or deactivated in any mode, including Manual.

You may wish to deactivate the filter if you're using MarketScalper PRO in a Multiple Instance Strategy scenario, or if you're using it to close trades opened by other indicators, like TradeBuilder. In each case you'd want MarketScalper PRO to be more reactive to price action, and turning the filter off would accomplish just that.

Below is a EUR/CHF M1 example demonstrating filtration in process. The unfiltered setup would be ideal for aggressive scalping or using the signals to close already-open trades. The subsequent filtered setup is the exact same market, time frame, and mode, but with the filter applied, offering signals of only the highest importance.

o CONTINUAL OPTIMIZATION

RAZOR5 was developed to be highly expandable. Algorithmic updates will be published every second Sunday containing the latest behavioral market definitions and rules for the indicator to take advantage of. This step will ensure that indicator performance remains optimal. When MarketScalper PRO v5 is attached to a chart, a message in the bottom-left will display the definition ruleset (Build) that the indicator is presently parsing. This text can be turned on or off.

RECENTLY ADDED FEATURES

o MARKET SNAPSHOT PRO

The Market Bias Monitor and Scalper Trend featured in MarketScalper PRO v3 have now been replaced by a smarter, more powerful, brand-new module, geared toward visual validation of signals. The new module, called Market SnapShot Pro, is actually a stand-alone product, but I've decided to integrate it into v5 as a logical successor to the prior versions. It unifies both in an easy-to-read manner, and features expanded behavioral detection rules, including two additional Market Bias states. The top row of the snapshot, labelled "B" represents the prevailing market bias. It is the single most important value you need to know, which is why the color of the entire module changes along with it. The bottom two, labelled "I" and "U" represent the Immediate (short-term) and Underlying (long-term) trend. To maximize success rate of each signal, you should validate it with both the bias and trend components of the snapshot. For example, a highest probability long (buy) signal would be issued during "Extremely Oversold" market conditions with both trend counters turning bullish.

o ENHANCED ALERTS

Email and pop-up alerts are now more readable, and include a PRICE LEVEL at which signal was issued. This was a widely requested feature by numerous members.

Audio alerts now also include options to assign a specific sound to each, Long (Buy) and Short (Sell) signal. There are 13 sound samples to choose from, including voice-overs announcing "Buy" and "Sell" conditions (both of which are defaults for their respective signals).

o EXPANDED COUNTBARS FUNCTIONALITY

MarketScalper PRO has always featured the CountBars parameter, whose purpose is to let you specify and limit the number of bars considered in calculations. MarketScalper PRO v4 adds a visual component to this feature - a labelled vertical line that shows exactly how far back the calculations go.

o SCALPER TREND GAUGE (NOW PART OF V4's MARKET SNAPSHOT PRO MODULE)

In addition to Advanced Market Bias Monitor (AMBM), used for determining oversold/overbought conditions, users now also have access to Scalper Trend Gauge, a highly efficient monitor of immediate and underlying trend.

How does this new tool help a scalper? It informs them of short and long term market trend, thereby acting as an additional signal filter. For example, if both, the underlying and immediate trend were bullish, then LONG signals would have higher probability of success, since market is less likely to go against them. Trend Gauge displays 4 possible states per each trend term:

BULLISH - identifies a prevailing bullish sentiment. BULLISH (weak) - identifies either a weak or weakening bullish trend.

Bears are expressing increased market interest. BEARISH - identifies a prevailing bearish sentiment. BEARISH (weak) - identifies either a weak or weakening bearish trend.

Bulls are expressing increased market interest.

UNDERLYING trend refers to long-term trend, one that spans beyond retracements, whereas IMMEDIATE refers to short-term market interest. Whether to consider one, the other, both, or neither in one's trading purely depends on trader's strategy and risk-appetite.

Below is an example that demonstrates Trend Gauge's effective role as a filter.

o NON-STANDARD TIME FRAMES

Since Metatrader 4 supports only 9 standard time frames (M1, M5, M15, M30, H1, H4, D1, W1, MN), numerous free and paid 3rd party scripts have been developed to enable creation of custom period charts. MarketScalper PRO now natively supports all non-standard time frame charts, meaning you can use it with any period. Shown here is MarketScalper PRO scalping a 3-minute USD/JPY price action:

o HIGHER TIME FRAMES

A much requested feature has always been inclusion of higher time frame compatibility. That request is now reality, courtesy of the new engine that features rules especially written for higher time frames. MarketScalper PRO still performs best in M15 and lower due to their mostly ranging behavior, but it is now also capable of effectively detecting higher time frame turning points (see EUR/USD M30 and GBP/JPY H4 examples below).

o ADVANCED MARKET BIAS MONITOR (NOW PART OF V4's MARKET SNAPSHOT PRO MODULE)

The bias monitor continually scans real-time market behavior, and identifies appropriate trading conditions/periods. It can be effectively used to confirm signals issued by MarketScalper PRO. Since the monitor is comprised of multiple internal scanners, you may regard the output number/ruling as a composite, and hence, more qualified opinion of the prevailing market. Therefore if that opinion matches the signal issued by MarketScalper PRO, then the probability of such signal's success is increased. For example, if the bias monitor identifies extremely oversold market conditions, and MarketScalper PRO issues a BUY signal, then a LONG trade has a higher probability of success than if it were undertaken during neutral, or worse, overbought conditions.

The 5 identifiable market conditions include:

NEUTRAL/WEAK SIGNAL - these are periods of strong trend, and either congestion or unexpected/unusual volatility (whipsaws). Scalping is not recommended.

OVERBOUGHT - the market is beginning to show quantifiable characteristics of overpricing. Long trades are not recommended, while shorts have a higher probability of success.

EXTREMELY OVERBOUGHT - the market is overweight. Long trades should be avoided, while shorts have a considerably higher probability of success.

OVERSOLD - the market is beginning to show quantifiable characteristics of underpricing. Short trades are not recommended, while longs have a higher probability of success.

EXTREMELY OVERSOLD - the market is underweight. Short trades should be avoided, while longs have a considerably higher probability of success.

It is worth mentioning that some people solely use Advanced Market Bias Monitor to trade. They wait until the index hits 99 (max overbought value) to go short, and 0 (max oversold) to go long for a few quick pips.

SUPPORT FOR GOLD AND OTHER FUTURES

Futures markets, primarily commodities, are highly reactive to most economic, political, and corporate fundamentals (news, reports). It is precisely this volatility that makes MarketScalper PRO v2 (and later) exceptionally compatible with Gold and other commodity markets. Extensive multiple time frame back and forward-testing has yielded positive returns.

SET-UP AND OPERATION

MarketScalper PRO takes only a minute to install, and is very easy and intuitive to use.

1. Installing and updating the indicator: MarketScalper PRO v5.5 now includes an installation wizard, which automatically and correctly installs the entire indicator package with just few clicks of your mouse button. The same wizard also serves as an auto-updater for future upgrades. You no longer have to worry about where which file goes - just double-click, watch it install. You don't even have to know where your Metatrader platform is installed - the wizard auto-detects the Metatrader directory for you.

2. Simply enter 1,2,3 in the first field to select Aggressive, High-Probability, or Balanced mode, or set Manual to true to unlock Range and Sensitivity. The latter 2 settings let you customize the indicator to suit any market, any time frame, any strategy.

3. Once a turning point is detected, MarketScalper PRO will issue a signal via arrow, audio, and pop-up alert. All alerts are always issued on confirmation, on a candlestick, bar or line once the period closes, and never repaint.
