training and education partners, potential employers, and students.
Students are offered an employment track which means OLT in conjunction with its educational partners will coordinate with area employers for the placement of students who satisfactorily complete the employment track.

Educational Partner ProcessPartner educational enterprises, in conjunction with OLT,
survey the local employer needs to insure we are providing the education and training needed by an individual to gain employment and launch a successful career.
Student’s enrolling in pre-licensing course are asked if they need help securing employment.
If students need assistance they fill out a generic employment application, an educational needs assessment and they provide a short resume.
OLT and its partners provide a professional education leading to a state license in the insurance field and placement with a company with job openings.

Research associated with Learn A Living is designed to improve our existing courses, match our programs to jobs and provide numerous opportunities for students to enroll in Redding College seeking to position themselves for a future career
Starting with existing students and programs – insurance industry – OLT will expand into other career fields
Career fields will be identified through Chamber of Commerce efforts and environmental scanning
