The biggest gains in reducing CO2 emissions are associated with a change in the energy matrix and energy efficiency. Brazil has a large market for renewable energy generation and technological update, generating energy efficiency and more financial return to its customers.
The business potential of BB’s client base and the ability to offer credit through its distribution channels can make the company a potential player in the energy efficiency financing market in Brazil.
Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency
The global availability of resources for investment in Green Economy makes this market a great potential in generating jobs and income and can be accessed by Brazil as sources of funding for sustainable economic activities.
BB has a portfolio of clients and investors with potential to promote the Green Economy throughout the country (in agribusiness, industry, wholesale and retail), and has a network of international partnerships with development banks willing to invest in sustainable production processes.
Green Fundraising
Focusing on agribusiness and the need to invest in reforestation of degraded areas, as well as business opportunities in legal reserves and offsetting carbon emissions, make the forest recovery a market hotspot.
BB is the largest player of the Brazilian agribusiness and can offer its clients credit lines for forest recovery that contribute to GHG emission reduction, generating new sources of funding for Brazilian agriculture.
