PVI'S LUNCH 'N' LEARN BIG SUCCESS
Dr. Bob Fisher, Brandon Strausbaugh, Brad Quick and Terrill Burdickenjoy a mid-morning break at our AARP Driving Course.
PVI held it's Annual Lunch 'n' Learn on Aprill 22, which this year was
the AARP Smart Driver Course. Class participants agreed it was a
very educational experience and were pleased to receive a discount
on their auto insurance from their respective carriers after
completion of the class.
VCCAG GOLF TOURNAMENT IN THE BAG
The Valley Center Real Estate Professionals 12th Annual GolfTournament was held at Woods Valley Golf Course on May 6 andwas a huge success. These community-minded golfers were notgoing to let a little rain stand in their way of a good time and a goodcause.
Brandon Strausbaugh and Justina Ossana provide members of theTicor Title Team a few minutes of respite from the weather under the

PVI is proud to be an annual sponsor of this worthy event! Onceagain, PVI staked the 8th Hole for $10,000 for a hole-in-one, with notakers. But, there's always next year!
VC CHAMBER SUNDOWNER
When attending a VC Chamber of Commerce Sundowner you'realways guaranteed a good time. If you happen to win a prize, that'sjust icing on the cake! Well, except in this case, it actually was abasket of goodies donated by Bubba's Ranch, one of the co-sponsors of the April 21st event, and it was PVI's BrandonStrausbaugh who walked away with it.
Since turnabout is fair play, Brandon was pleased to present PVI's
contribution to the evening's festivities, a nice bottle of wine, to BobHunsaker, of Krueger Realty. Sharing the spotlight with VC beauties, well, that IS the icing on the cake!

CUSTOMER CORNER
Who doesn't love a parade, right?Well, thanks to RidgeviewChurch not only do we get tohave a parade this year, itpromises to be one of the best
ones ever!
Earlier this year, when faced with the reality of no parade forour Annual Memorial Day weekend celebration, Pastor Bill Trok andthe members of Ridgeview Church, volunteered to carry the banner. They certainly were not looking to receive any accolades and theywere well aware of the hard work that would be involved, but theybelieved carrying on this wonderful tradition for the people of ValleyCenter and surrounding communities was worth it!
Sure, there have been a few bumps along the parade route, butPastor Trok and Marian Walters, Dir. of Admin at Ridgeview, have"led the parade" in integrity and dignity and have set a fine examplefor all of us.
Keeping it Local
Our business is muchmore than just selling
insurance, it is a way oflife; which means long-
Pastor Trok and Marian Walters reviewing parade details...and still smiling!
Many hours of planning and preparation have gone into this year'sparade and celebration. Not just the name has changed this year, asthere are many "firsts" to look forward to with anticipation! Particulartribute is being paid to our fallen heroes and they will be honored innumerous ways, including a fly-by and a "Wall of Remembrance."
Not only have they been working on the parade itself, which will beon Saturday, May 28 at 10 am, they also put together a veryinformative "Official Program" as your guide for a great weekend.
Thank you Pastor Trok and Ridgeview for taking on this Herculeantask! PVI salutes the dedication, support and hard work that youhave contributed so far, knowing that your work is not yet done!
Also, thank you for the trust you put in PVI to allow us to insure thisspecial event, and we are sure that it will exceed all expectations aswe "Embrace the Future" while "Honoring the Past." For more information, check-out the Valley Center Days website.

A TOPIC THAT'S ALL THE RAGE
The San Diego area has the honor of being on the top of manydesirable lists; however, one recent distinction does not fit that bill.According to the Auto Insurance Center, which analyzed over 65,500posts on Instagram with the hashtag "RoadRage" from June 2013 toApril 2016, San Diego rated #5 in number of posts with that hashtag.Three other California cities also made the top ten: Los Angeles #1;San Francisco #6; and Anaheim #7.
So what exactly is road rage? Although the phenomenon of roadrage is not new, it wasn't until 1987 that the term was coined todescribe a rash of incidents in the Los Angeles area. According tothe National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), roadrage is subtly different from aggressive driving: aggressive drivingviolates traffic laws, whereas road rage involves more seriouscriminal actions that knowingly endanger other drivers andpassengers. Running a red light to make an appointment isaggressive driving - running that light to follow a car you think cutyou off is road rage.

A TIME TO REMEMBER
On Monday, May 30, our nation willobserve Memorial Day. As Americans, this is the day set aside to honor ourfallen heroes from every branch of themilitary.
Although Memorial Day began as"Decoration Day" as a way to honorthose who died in the Civil War, afterWorld War I the day was expanded tohonor those who have died in all
American wars. In 1971, Memorial Day was declared a nationalholiday by an act of Congress.
The National Moment of Remembrance encourages all Americans topause wherever they are at 3 p.m. local time on Memorial Day for aminute of silence to remember and honor those who have died inservice to the nation.
PVI salutes our fallen heroes.
