NAPLAN
We hope to see as many families join
us on Wednesday 21st March for our
Harmony Day celebrations.
This year, we are trying something a
bit different, with a shared lunch that
hopefully will include all the delicious
foods that are part of the many
cultures that make up our school
community. Did you know we have
almost 25% of our students who were
born in countries overseas? Families
have joined us from Vietnam, Kenya,
India, Philippines, Iran, Saudi Arabia,
Pakistan, Palestine, Russia, Nepal,
Bangladesh, Brazil, Burma, China,
Indonesia, Ethiopia, Malaysia and
Laos.
At our picnic lunch, students and family
members can sit together and enjoy any of the
food provided. We invite all families to
contribute to sharing lunch. Please return the
portion of the notice that was sent home last
Friday, detailing what shared food you will
provide if you are able to join us.
NAPLAN will be
ONLINE for our year
3, 5 & 7s this year.
Please speak with
Stacey or Cheryl if
you have any queries
regarding your child’s
participation.
Hi all A new venture starts at Marion PS, Wednesday afternoons - around 2.45 is COFFEE. Yes, Fiona O'Connor (Rosie's Mum) of Java Drive will be selling coffee and other drinks from the access drive on the eastern side of the school, commencing 21 March 2018. So when you are coming to pick up your children from school, why not come a little earlier and enjoy the coffee with other parents. Looking forward very much to this. Kind Regards Trevor (PCW) Next Issue: Thursday 29th March, 2018

Community News Hi Everyone, The April Vacation Care program is now available in the OSHC room and at the front office. We have a very exciting program coming up with arcade games, photo booth and racing car machines in the first week and an excursion to the Goolwa Animal farm including horse riding in the second week. Please come in and speak to us if you need to book your child/ren into OSHC or Vacation Care sessions. Also, don’t forget that the new cancelation policy has now come into effect. If you wish to cancel your child/ren from any OSHC or Vacation Care sessions you will need to inform us at least 1 week prior, otherwise this will be classed as an absent and charges will still apply.
