The 2018 budget has been set, and the Board is pleased to announce that there will be no increase in the monthly maintenance fees. As in the past, Owners will receive a copy of the approved 2018 Budget. Summer Socials have been enjoyed and well attended. Sad to see the summer and fall come to a close. The Octoberfest event was wonderful with great ethnic food and beverages. The desserts were bountiful and delicious. The residents out did themselves at this event. As you may know, a 50/50 drawing is held at each social. The October winner was: Becky Mock CONGRATULATIONS TO Becky and thanks for donating a portion of your winnings to our Social Fund which supports our Social Events. A great big thanks to all committee members who have done a great job as always. Also, a big thanks to the residents who pitch in to help the committee clean up. Mark your calendars for the 2018 scheduled Resident Social Events: Mid Winter Break Third Annual Winter Social PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS for: Saturday, February 17th 6:00 P.M. Pot Luck, Dessert Provided Summer Socials for 2018: 1st Saturday of each month. 6:00 P.M - June, Aug., Sept., & October. July Social will be held at 6:00 P.M. - July 14th Sept. Pool Splash- Date will be determined depending on weather. Further information will be coming via email or newsletter for the above schedule. The vacancies created will be up for election at the homeowner meeting on July 14, 2018. As an owner, if you are interested in filling one of these Board vacancies please let Judy Port know. Finance/Audit Committee Chairperson: Bob Munson Members: Chad Gooding, Ford Behm The finance committee spent the fall preparing a 10 year projection of our Reserves for the board to use in their annual budget review.

Lake Front Improvement Committee Chairperson: Diana De Vito ([email protected]) Members: Carol Alex, Jim Enyeart, JoAnn Ramsey, Bob O’Brien, Jeff Fetchet In November, personnel from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources led by Katie Beck, Environmental Engineer, came to Mariner's Point to see our beach and take photos. The purpose of this site visit was to get a first-hand look at our beach project for an informational report ODNR is doing on the success of private projects along Lake Erie's shoreline. You may recall that ODNR officially released us from any further sand surveys beyond year five. We have not yet been released by the Army Corps of Engineers, but we are hopeful that they may do so as early as next year. This would save MPCA a significant amount of money. It's hard to believe, but 2018 will mark the eighth anniversary of building our beach.

Architectural Control Committee Chairperson: Co-Chairs Members: John Mock, Terry Coughlin No Updates Friendly reminders Please make sure the ground floor water closet doors are CLOSED and LOCKED at all times. With the days getting shorter, it is suggested that owner’s take a flashlight when going to and from the water closet at night. To prevent condo unit pipes from freezing when away for any length of time:

1) make sure the water for your unit is turned OFF in the water closet and that your condo’s heat is ON

2) open kitchen and bathroom faucets to enable

draining of water lines

As owners, we have a responsibility to maintain our environment. Do not hesitate to question something that does not seem right to you. Just do it in a respectful manner.
