Mariners Events & Activities:
SML Idol 7! Please come join us at Heath’s Waterfront Grill for week 5 (October 6th) and week 6 (October 13th) of Season 7. Local vocalists will be competing for the title of SML Idol. SML Idol is a fund-raising event benefiting 6 local charities. Our fifth week’s charity is CASA and on our 6th week we’ll be honoring our Veterans and benefiting Disabled American Veterans. Mariners Landing Community Association: The next board meeting will be Thursday, October 13h, at 5pm in the Eastlake Room at the Pointe. For more information about MLCA as well as previous meeting minutes, governing documents and board member listing, check us out at www.marinerslanding.com.
Mariners Landing Travel Club (established by your neighbors for our community -- a truly won-derful time for neighbors & guests): Come join us for our inaugural trip to the beautiful Biltmore Estate and Ashville, NC, October 16th-19th. The cost is $469.00 per person and includes motor coach transpor-tation, 3 nights of lodging, 3 breakfasts and 3 dinners, a full day visit to the Biltmore Estate, guided tour of Asheville and a guided drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway. A cover charge of $5 for Mariners Club members and $8 for non-Club mem-bers will include an entrée, salad and dessert. Please bring a beverage of your choice. RSVP is required prior to each dinner. Fitness Classes:
• Functional Strength, Balance and Core Training with ACE certified instructor, Patty Walker, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8am ($3 per class).
• Yoga every Tuesday and Thursday at 8am (free).
• Water Aerobics every Monday-Friday at 9am in the outdoor Cabana pool (free).

• Outdoor pools: Monday-Sunday, 10am-8pm.
• Indoor pool: Monday-Saturday, 10am-8pm and Sunday, 12pm-4pm.

There will be a tacky holiday sweater contest and a Karaoke Christmas Carol sing-a-long! Tickets are $25 per person and available at the Pointe front desk or from Patty Walker. New Year’s Eve tickets on sale now: Heath’s Waterfront Grill will be holding their annual New Year’s Eve Celebration Sunday, December 31st at 8pm - 1am. Live music with “Heat of the Night”, DJ in the Bedford Room, heavy appetizers and champagne toast at midnight! Tickets during the month of November are $40 per person and $45 in December. Friendly Reminders:
Long-Term Renters (over 30 days) Requirements: Property Owners are reminded that the 3rd Amendment to the Mariners Landing Master Covenants states that Owners:
1. Are requested to perform a criminal background check before Tenant is granted occupancy. 2. Will make Tenant aware of obligation to abide by Covenants and Additional Rules and Reg-
ulations before Tenant is granted occupancy. 3. Will provide Tenant’s contact information to its community property owners’ associa-
tion and Mariners Landing Master Association at the time of occupancy. Owner will be subject to fines and civil actions (as allowed by VA Code section 55-513) for viola-tions by the Tenant and/or Owner. Neighborhood Watch: Please notify CALM (540-297-9393 or [email protected]) whenever
the occupancy status of your residence changes so the staff making rounds can be aware.
