The Megalodon shark lived at the same time as the animals at the Gray Fossil Site during the Miocene Epoch (5-20 million years ago).

Sharks have several rows of teeth. Unlike people who lose their baby teeth and replace with adult teeth only once, the shark constantly replaces lost teeth.
