The MPC-2240 series of panel computers features advanced Intel processors—3rd generation Ivy Bridge Core or Celeron—matched to 4 GB of system memory, delivering a reliable, high-performance platform of wide versatility for use in industrial marine environments. With its RS-232/422/485 serial, NMEA 0183, and Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, the MPC- 2240 panel computer supports a wide variety of serial- and marine-specific interfaces alongside high speed IT communications, all with native network redundancy.

The MPC-2240 series comes with a range of standard display enhancements useful in industrial environments (including 0 to 100% full range dimming, 178°/178° wide viewing angles, optional optical

bonding, and/or multi-touch screen), as well as Moxa’s innovative SavvyTouch display controls.

The MPC-2240 series of panel computers are compliant with several industrial marine standards, such as IEC 60945 4th, IEC 61174, IEC 61162, DNV2.4, and IACS E10, verifying their resilient durability in marine operations. An optional IP65-rated unibody shell provides strong additional protection against the harsh conditions found in marine environments. The MPC-2240 delivers a rugged, type approved, high performance and user friendly panel computer perfect for ECDIS navigation systems and other marine IBS applications.

L’ordinateur MPC-2240 est un panel PC au design épuré, sans ventilation et sans boutons, à écran 24“ en verre plat avec étalonnage des couleurs ECDIS, destiné aux applications de navigation maritime.

Avec son processeur Intel® Ivy Bridge Celeron® 1047UE (2 MB de cache, 1,40 GHz) de série et des processeurs Core® i3 et i7 3e génération sur demande, le MPC-2240 fournit 4 GB de mémoire système (jusqu’à 16 GB sur demande), permettant ainsi un rendu graphique rapide adapté à un large éventail de systèmes maritimes et autres IHM en environnement diffi cile.

Sans ventilation, avec de hautes performances L’ordinateur MPC-2240 est un système modulaire destiné à réduire les coûts de déploiement et le délai général de lancement en permettant une intégration rapide et pratique dans un large éventail de systèmes.

Bien qu’il ne possède aucun ventilateur, le génie thermique mis en œuvre lors de sa conception confère à ce panel PC une fi abilité constante sous des chaleurs extrêmes fréquemment rencontrées dans les environne-ments maritimes industriels.

Le boîtier IP22 assure une protection solide et durable contre l’humidité, la poussière et d’autres facteurs de risques environnementaux. Ces or-dinateurs sont conformes à de nombreuses normes maritimes, dont IEC 60945, DNV et IACS E10, et peuvent également être commandés avec le type ECDIS IEC 61174 homologué pour une utilisation avec les systèmes de navigation de passerelle.

ECDIS et fonctionnalités innovantes La série MPC-2240 est certifi ée pour être utilisée comme poste d’af-fi chage ECDIS. Soigneusement conçu pour répondre aux exigences sévères posées par les milieux océaniques, le MPC-2240 se distingue des autres écrans certifi és ECDIS par ses nouvelles fonctionnalités in-novantes.

Dernière avancée technologique offerte par le MPC-2240 : les comman-des SavvyTouch SavvyTouch controls. Ces commandes sont équipées d’un capteur de proximité qui allume l’éclairage des commandes dès que l’utilisateur fait un simple mouvement de la main. Les utilisateurs peuvent ainsi effectuer des réglages à l’écran même dans l’obscurité absolue.

Les commandes SavvyTouch comportent également un bouton d’infor-mation système qui renvoie un aperçu rapide de l’état du matériel, avec un rapport d’erreurs sur l’alimentation, les composants, la mémoire et la vidéo au niveau du BIOS.

Si, pour une quelconque raison, le MPC-2240 ne démarrait pas, les utili-sateurs peuvent identifi er rapidement le problème en appuyant simple-ment sur le bouton Info.

Afi n de minimiser la formation de chaleur à l‘intérieur de l‘écran, nous recommandons de prendre les précautions suivantes :• Disposez l‘écran à un angle de ±40° par rapport à la verticale.• Installez une ventilation externe pour qu‘un débit d‘air plus important traverse l‘écran et s‘écoule vers le haut si (a) l‘écran n‘est pas disposé à un angle de ±40° par rapport à la verticale, (b) la température de fonctionnement est supérieure à 25°C ou (c) l‘emplacement d‘utilisation de l‘écran est peu ventilé.

Précaution de sécurité importante :Bien que l‘écran soit conçu pour fonctionner à une température com-prise entre -15 et 55°C conformément à la norme IEC 60945 pour les applications de passerelle, il est préférable de veiller à ce que la température de fonctionnement ne dépasse pas 25°C. Vous aug-menterez ainsi la durée de vie de l‘écran et réduirez les coûts de maintenance.
