Sand castings
EDL has been producing sand castings for
over 50 years for a wide range of
industries. The foundry is capable of
casting in a broad range of metals
including all aluminium alloys, AB2 nickel
aluminium bronze, brass, manganese
bronze and gun metals as well as lead.
Much of the company’s experience is
focused on the aerospace and marine
sectors although we have a broad range
of customers from other sectors including
the electronics, computing, defence,
automotive and petrochemical industries.

Direct Line Service
Because of our direct line service with
foundry and machine shop under the
same roof, EDL is in a position to
guarantee lead times with greater
accuracy, offering a more efficient and
cohesive service, particularly when cost
and time scales are paramount.
CNC Milling/Turning
EDL offer CNC milling/ turning services
including 4th axis machining, Solid Model
programming and close tolerance work.
Our capacity is primarily based around
state of the art HAAS technology with a
specialist focus on the machining of
castings and precision machined parts.

which are fitted to the top of every Royal
Navy vessel.
