1 | Let’s Meet! Pick your favorite coffee shop or we’ll introduce you to ours. Once you’ve contacted us, we’ll schedule time to grab a cup of coffee or glass of wine, de-stress, and get to know one another! We’re excited to hear all about your beautiful wedding vision, how you met the love of your life, and about your proposal. Let’s see that gorgeous RING!!! We further explain our wedding planning services and answer any questions you might have. We’re also available via Skype if you can’t fit an in-person meet-up into your schedule right now.

2 | Let’s make it official! You deserve a planner who is fully committed to you. Your love story and bond is unique to you, and your wedding and planning experience should be too! After we meet, we work hard to build a client experience designed around your wedding vision, needs, and budget.

3 | Select your wedding team! It’s time to find your vendor dream team. Once you sign off on your client experience, we’ll help you find VIP vendors and professional creatives (venue, photographer, band, DJ, videographer, caterer and officiate) who match your vision, theme, budget, and location.

4 | It’s Design Time! Putting all the pretty things together. This phase of planning is all about the aesthetics and ambiance of your gorgeous wedding. This is where we bring the rest of your vision to life. We'll focus on your stationery, florals, rentals, cake, makeup/hair, favors, etc.

5 | We’re Almost There! Time to tie up all the loose ends. Once everything is in order, we add the finishing touches to ensure every detail of your day is perfect. Here, we'll confirm transportation and all vendor commitments, send invitations, do a final site walk through, create a seating chart, and design a customized wedding day timeline so everyone is on the same page.

6 | Celebration Time! Celebrate and marry the love of your life. Congratulations, you’ve made it to this once-in-a-lifetime moment!!! Your wedding day is all about you and the love you share for one another. All you have to do is wake up and get married to your best friend! From set up to tear down to making sure everyone is where they're supposed to be to cuing your important moments and everything in between, we'll guide you through your entire wedding day so you can focus on celebrating your marriage with your closest family and friends.

Why should I hire a wedding planner? Let’s face it, engagements and weddings are beautiful! However, the planning process is not. Planning a wedding can be stressful, overwhelming, and time consuming. Most couples are working professionals who simply do not have the time to dedicate to planning a wedding. Your wedding is one of the most important, emotional, and expensive events in your life. You want it to be perfect, therefore time to correctly plan is a MUST! This is where a wedding planner comes in. Having an experienced professional handling your wedding can result in a wedding day that meets the expectations of your dreams. The bottom line is, you have nothing to lose, but everything to gain by having a planner by your side.

When should I hire a planner? While it’s never too early or too late to hire a planner, to get the best experience you want to hire one directly following your engagement.

What separates you from all the other wedding planners out there? Maria Scott Events is a full-service, full time wedding planning and design company. This is not a hobby or side-job, it’s our professional career. We love what we do and it truly shows in our work and connection with our clients. Also, we only take a limited number of events per year and we are very specific about the type of bride and groom we want to work with. We are more concerned with the connection between our client and us being a good fit than accumulating a volume of clients.

This all sounds so wonderful, but also expensive, Will we be able to afford this? We are of the mindset that you get what you pay for. The same is true when it comes to wedding planners. Our services are designed for the discerning bride and groom. It always saddens us to receive an email from a bride that decided we were “too expensive” to work with so they went with a cheaper planner, and ended up over budget or their wedding wasn’t even close to what they wanted. We would hate it if that happened to you too.

Do you offer payment plans? Yes! Once we’re in receipt of your retainer, we will gladly set up a monthly payment plan to make our services affordable to you.

My wedding venue comes with a coordinator. Do I really need to hire one on my own? A lot of brides find themselves confused about the role of their venue coordinator vs. their Wedding Planner. Simply put, as helpful and vital as a venue coordinator is, they work for the venue. We work for YOU, the bride. We have your best interest at heart at all times. As your wedding planner, we will work closely with you prior to your big day to fully understand your vision, and work along-side you to make it a reality. It is also our role to manage the set-up and timeline of other contracted vendors such as your photographer, florist, and DJ. This is typically not a job that is assumed by a venue coordinator.

Will I lose control of my wedding if you’re planning it for me? No, of course not! As your wedding planner we are not here to make decisions for you, but rather to aid you in making informed decisions. It is YOUR wedding after all and a good planner would never want to deprive you of the fun of planning it! We are there to do as little or as much as you need us to. You make all of the ultimate decisions; we make sure that everything is executed according to YOUR wishes.
