More than 6,000 women from around the world will be in Baltimore next October from the 24- 26 for WE13 to make connections and make history. SWE will sponsor some students to go to this conference . Last year SWE sponsored 8 students from Missouri S&T for Houston Conference. Region I Conference The 2013 conference will be held March 1-2 in Omaha, Nebraska. SWE Outreach Our current outreach efforts have reached over 700 students in the Rolla, St. James, and Licking Missouri Communities. This semester we plan to extend our reach even farther. We will also be working closely with one classroom to develop advanced presentations that will integrate into their lesson plan. Our hope for the program is to interest students at a younger age when math and science can be the most frustrating and discouraging subjects.
