This is in addition to the ground breaking Remote® Commissioning concept - a system solution that offers all that is required to balance and control water flow to hydronic terminal units in a truly flexible and energy efficient way.

Manifold Systems
As an alternative to the conventional approach of installing individual valve assemblies at each terminal unit, a Marflow Hydronics manifold system houses all of the valves for a group of, typically up to six, terminal units in a single, insulated box. This has many advantages, such as simplifying the ordering and installation process so there is less chance of error. It also provides considerable time savings as the commissioning engineer can access up to six units in one convenient location.

The Marflow Hydronics RangeAssembly SolutionsXterminator®The Marflow Hydronics Xterminator® is a range of engineered fan coil unit connection sets which incorporate a suite of valves and fittings to optimise and maintain control of a fan coil, chilled beam or other hydronic unit. All units are supplied pre-assembled, pre-tested and are ready for installation.
Different styles are available. There are ‘compact’ pre-assembled and pre-tested units that are designed for assembly over an extended condensate drip tray within the fan coil unit. These have 40mm centres and are supplied with either an Axial Pressure Independent Control Valve or a Rotary Pressure Independent Control Valve.
Units that are designed for installation and use with terminal branch pipe work are also available. These incorporate and an Axial Pressure Independent Control Valve, a flow measurement Venturi, a Filtermate® isolating valve, an optional Filterball® combined isolating valve and strainer, blow down valve and a flushing by-pass valve. They are all arranged at 80mm centres and allow pipes to be adequately insulated if required.

Valve SolutionsPressure Independent Control Valves
The Marflow Hydronics range of Pressure Independent Control Valves (PICVs), called EVOPICVs, includes both an Axial and a Rotary design. These provide the optimum choice to building owners, consulting engineers and contractors. Use of these valves in a building’s heating and cooling system allows it to be managed and maintained to ensure optimum performance at least cost. The Axial EVOPICV is selected when either a manually operated valve is required or when a choice of electric actuation is preferred and the Rotary EVOPICV is selected when remote connection via BACnet is required.
Filterball®
The Filterball® is a corrosion resistant isolating Ball Valve containing an easily interchangeable strainer. This single compact valve provides isolation as well as easily maintainable protection of downstream plant and equipment.
Terminator® Valves
The Terminator® is a combined venturi measuring device and regulating Ball Valve. Each valve size comes with an option to interchange venturis depending on the flow and each is supplied with flow information, such as Kv values and flow charts. The valve has a union end connection to facilitate quick and easy assembly to a terminal unit on site. To ensure that valves are installed in the correct location within a system, all Terminator valves are supplied with a factory fitted tag. The valve number and indicator position can be recorded once commissioning is completed.
Ball Valves
All Marflow Hydronics Ball Valves incorporate a high quality triple seal stem design developed to maintain a tight shut-off on all applications. All valves have an internally assembled anti-blow out stem as well as a range of interchangeable accessories and fittings. The double body connection seal (held with Locktite and a mechanical seal) provides added safety whilst a PTFE sealing gland with two additional ‘O’ rings provides a triple safety stem seal for guaranteed protection.

Energy SolutionsRemote® CommissioningUsing the Rotary PICV, a whole new energy saving approach to commissioning is now available. For the first time, building operators can have a dynamic, responsive fan coil system that changes as the building does. Operating via a BACnet system, the Remote® Commissioning concept enables flow rates to be adjusted via a remote PC, eliminating the cost and disruption of manual re-commissioning.
Energy MonitoringWith energy efficiency being vital for many businesses today, companies not only need to implement more energy efficient solutions but also make sure they track the usage of the systems throughout the year so they can react to issues as they happen. Using Optergy from Marflow Hydronics you are provided with a solution that enables the optimisation of a HVAC system through the monitoring of energy usage. It’s a real-time energy usage reporting tool that provides accurate measurements of a water system so it can be commissioned as efficiently as possible. Through the use of Optergy, businesses will be able to reduce their energy and subsequently reduce their costs.
