Jesus wants to be my friend forever and I can follow Him! Let’s sing right now and let Jesus know we love Him too!” Lead children in singing “Shout” and “Praise the Lord Everyday” “Yay! What incredible singers you are. Who can you follow?” CHILDREN and LEADER: “I can follow Jesus!” LEADER: “That’s right! I can follow Jesus! Remember, our memory verse this month tells us just that. Are you ready? (Pause.) Let’s do it! ‘‘“Come, and follow me”, Jesus said’, Matthew 4:19. Let’s do it again.” CHILDREN and LEADER: “‘‘“Come, and follow me”, Jesus said’, Matthew 4:19. (Repeat several times.) LEADER: “That is awesome. “Great job, everyone! Today, I have a story today from the Bible (hold up Bible) about when people spread coats & palm branches on the road as Jesus entered Jerusalem riding on a donkey. Are you ready to hear it? (Pause) Great! I better go grab a seat so I don’t miss a single minute of our Bible story!” Watch Video Lesson LEADER: “Great job listening, everyone! Do you remember what the people shouted as Jesus entered Jerusalem? (Pause) You are right! They shouted Hosanna! Hosanna! Hey…we have a song with the word Hosanna in it…Let’s sing it right now.” Lead children in singing “Hosanna Rock” and “Nobody Loves Me Like You”. “Wasn’t that a fun song? I love that one.
