Long Day’s Journey into NightFollowing his critically acclaimed performance in Arthur Miller’s All My Sons at the Apollo Theatre in 2010, David Suchet returns in Eugene O’Neill’s Pulitzer prize-winning masterpiece Long Day’s Journey into Night, one of the greatest American plays written in the 20th century.

Set in 1912, the story is a compelling family drama between James Tyrone (David Suchet), Mary Tyrone (Laurie Metcalf) and their sons, Jamie and Edmund, during one fateful summer’s day.

Multi award-winning David Suchet (Poirot, Great Expectations) leads the Anglo/American cast as James Tyrone. Nederlands Dans Theater 2With their winning combination of youthful exuberance and athleticism, NDT2 have wowed audiences in the UK for over a decade.

Hundreds of young dancers from around the world audition to join NDT2, the springboard for NDT1, but only a very few are chosen. The current group of 16 hail from around the globe: Russia, China, UK, Taiwan, America and Spain to name a few. None of the dancers is older than 23 yet they fill the stage with feats of virtuosity using their young bodies in beautiful ways, expressing emotions and feelings way beyond their years and experience.

The company will perform a range of pieces which uniquely reflect their strengths and abilities. Sleepless (choreography by Jiri Kylian) sometimes very funny, while at other times painfully moving; Déjà vu and Solo two witty, silly and very fast pieces by Hans van Manen, and Ohad Naharin’s show-stopping Minus 16 described by the London Evening Standard as ‘hilarious, dangerous, utterly cheeky and a wild climax’.
