March Luncheon Program
Be Prepared when the Darkness Ends (BMS goes dark April 1st, SMS goes live May 1st, 2014) Date: March 25, 2014 Location: LaScala Italian Bistro and Conference Center

Speakers: Mike Brokaw, P.E. – ODOT Assistant Administrator Bridge InspectionAmjad Waheed, P.E. – ODOT Assistant Administrator Bridge Management
Program: ODOT is transitioning from the current mainframe based Bridge Management System (BMS) to a new web-based Structure Management System (SMS) to document inspections, inventory, and maintenance information of bridges. Over the past year, ODOT has been working to improve the functionality of the new SMS. The BMS system will be unavailable from April 1st to April 30th as information would be transferred from BMS to SMS. Mike Brokaw will provide an overview of the new SMS system. Bridge rating results are included in the SMS. ODOT is now requiring that load rating analysis be performed using AASHTOWare BrR software. Amjad Waheed will provide an overview of the BrR rating software.
Menu: Chicken Picatta or Marsala with Italian Salad, Ciabatta bread, chocolate or citrus cake, and tea or coffee. A vegetarian meal (Penne Primavera) is available upon request.
Time: Registration-11:30 A.M., Lunch-12:00 P.M., Program-12:20 P.M.

Please note that no-shows will be billed for the luncheon, as LaScala will charge ABCD COH based on the number of reservations, not the number of actual attendees.
