Next Scheduled meeting will be Tuesday March 26 th . President’s Report Donnie Shelton Hello Fellow Homeowners, With spring upon us, your Darlington Farms Board of Director’s have been diligently working to approve bids. We have been reviewing numerous and accepting the best to beautify our great community. Our first bid from Grey Construction has been approved to begin the work on the buildings in the back. The water will be rerouted and piped away from the buildings. All foundations will be recovered. Many of the porches have also been scheduled on these buildings to be taken down. A concrete pillar will be poured and placed many feet below ground until it is resting on the sturdy bedrock below. Once that is complete, the porches will be rebuilt to code upon the now stabilized concrete supports. The work is set to begin in mid- April. We approved roofing bids from Bresser and Sons Roofing. We chose which buildings were being replaced by the most call in complaints regarding roof leaks, and visible shingle deterioration. There were only a handful chosen for this year due to the immense cost associated with the new roofs. Work will be starting on the neediest units soon. DFBD decided to allow Riegler Blacktop, Inc to return for the second phase of Blacktop this year. 2013’s schedule is set to include all of Darlington Drive from the entrance at Rt. 18 to Sawmill Court. It will then continue up Sawmill Court in front of the units and garages, stopping just before the final buildings. This will include a complete sub-base excavation and complete asphalt overlay. Last but not least we approved a bid for Brickman Landscaping to grade the bed at 2428 Hickory Glen. We also scheduled their spring cleanup to begin towards the end of March or early April. The Landscape beds will be raked, edged, and mulched. Their first mowing of the season should shortly follow. That is all I have to report at this time. I hope all of you have a wonderful Easter. I will now turn things over to Chris Taylor to further fill you in on Community news. A few words from the V.P Chris Taylor Hello All, Happy Spring to All, As my counterpart has already discussed we have many projects started for the new season. Please keep in mind most of these are pretty time consuming and will require considerable patience from all home owners. With this in mind, please allow me to remind you of the importance of taking care of your pets including cleanup of their waste. Another important item is taking care of the new landscaping and mulch that is being put out as we speak. Unfortunately we have already had some complaints about cigarette butts showing up in the mulch beds. It is also the time of year that people like to start “spring” cleaning, please keep in mind the proper discard methods of unwanted items. One last note, all vehicles need to be properly licensed and in running condition. (Or placed in your garage) this includes any trailers or Recreation vehicles. Remember that the hallways are common areas and cannot be used for storing of personal belongings ie: Bikes or skateboards Have a great Spring season. (Editors Note) The Monthly Financials will not be printed this month; however they can be obtained by request.

President’s Report

Donnie Shelton Hello Fellow Homeowners, With spring upon us, your Darlington Farms Board of Director’s have been diligently working to approve bids. We have been reviewing numerous and accepting the best to beautify our great community. Our first bid from Grey Construction has been approved to begin the work on the buildings in the back. It will then continue up Sawmill Court in front of the units and garages, stopping just before the final buildings. This will include a complete sub-base excavation and complete asphalt overlay. Last but not least we approved a bid for Brickman Landscaping to grade the bed at 2428

Hickory Glen.

A few words from the V.P Chris Taylor Hello All,

Happy Spring to All, As my counterpart has already discussed we have many projects started for the new season.

Remember that the hallways are common areas and cannot be used for storing of personal belongings ie: Bikes or skateboards

Have a great Spring season. (Editors Note) The Monthly Financials will not be printed

this month; however they can be obtained by request.

Please be Respectful of your neighbors Our Sympathy or Good Thoughts

Please help me in sharing condolences to the families of Mr. Pat Callahan concerning his passing. As well as Blessings going to Mrs. Barbara Noel on the passing of her mother.

If you know of anyone that has been ill and

would like to share thoughts or condolensces with them, please send any pertinent info to Chris at [email protected] and I will try to get it posted.

***SOCIAL COMMITTEE CORNER*** There was a Chili cook-off on Feb.9th. And all guests enjoyed chowing down on some really good food and enjoying some great fellowship. I am happy to announce that Chris Taylor won the Best Chili award, it was really great! We are currently looking for new members for the Social Cmtte. If you are interested in joining, please contact any member of the board.

Neighborhood Watch Program

With Spring upon us (and hopefully some warmer weather shortly) it is really important to keep our eyes and ears open for any suspicious activity. Do not hesitate to contact Boone County Sheriffs Dept.

Rental Property Please keep in mind, that there is to be “NO” Rental Property in the community. I know with a lot of recent property sales within the community, it has come to our attention that some investors intend to “Rent” for profit. This is not allowed. If this is allowed, we will all

suffer from the effects. If you have any knowledge of this, please contact either Towne Property or any Board member. This can be kept Anonymous !!! Shout out!!!!

I would like to acknowledge Brickman Landscape Co. for the great job they have provided concerning snow removal throughout the community. I know we didn’t have a large amount of bad weather but things looked really good overall.

Housekeeping Keep in mind that when you are at a

function at the Clubhouse or workout room; please remember our friends and neighbors live close. Respect them enough to clean up after yourselves. None of us want to clean up trash from our front yards.

Landscape Issues If anyone has issues or complaints

concerning any landscape problems, Please contact Towne Property and not the actual employees of Brickman. They are doing the job that they have been told to do.

Thank You in advance for compliance.

condominiums on the first floor. Please refrain from allowing your pets to wander into these areas.

Please clean up after your pet. Editors note: I have received numerous complaints

about people “NOT” using the proper areas to allow their pets to “Go.”Most of these have come

from Sawmill. Please be considerate of your neighbors.
