Char will show you her favorite ways to baste quilt sandwiches that save your back and help prevent those pesky puckers and pleats. She will also share her tricks on sewing beautiful bindings, including: flanged bindings; a quick way to join the ends without any special tools, and basting with school glue so you dont have to use pins. You can quilt your own quilts. Go beyond ditch stitching without learning free-motion stitching. Patchwork Egg Table Runner—Add some sparkle to your Easter table with this darling Easter Egg Runner! This pattern shows you how to make this quick and easy project featuring patchwork eggs and glitter accents. Fin-ished size is 12½" x 53". A great way to use left over charm packs, 2 ½” strips or those scraps you had to save for something! Mix and match. Each egg uses 25 – 2 ½ “ squares so start cutting! Rockport Basket—Like the look of the projects with the tubes of fabric but hate the work of sewing all those strips? The Rockport Basket just ‘looks’ that way! You use one piece of fabric and create the ‘strips’ with channel stitches. We will be using the pattern called “Rockport Baskets” by Aunties Two Patterns (Purchase required at JSS). The pattern comes in 3 sizes – sample is the large size. Monday, Mar 20—4-7 pm Fee: $15
