Lindsay is a former assistant Youth Coordinator in our diocese. All who have heard about the McKinnon’s loss have been heart-sickened, with many asking what they can do to help and show the McKinnons their support. Lindsay grew up in the Diocese of North Carolina and was very active in Happening. When she was a youth minister here in our diocese, she encouraged many of our youth to go to Happening. It truly is a life-changing spiritual experience. During a Happening Weekend, there is something special and tangible that is given to Happeners—they are given a “Warm Fuzzy” to let them know how much they are truly loved. Let's flood the McKinnons with that love we feel for them by making them Warm Fuzzies. (See directions in the next column.) Once yours is done, mail it me and I will forward it to Beth Crow (another of our former diocesan Youth Coordinators, who is now in Raleigh). She will get them to the McKinnons. My address is 183 Fairystone Homeplace, Bassett, VA 24055. If you have questions, my phone is 276.224.6080. You may also email any sentiments that you would like to pass on to the McKinnons to [email protected], and they will be sent right along with the Warm Fuzzies. We would like to get all the Warm Fuzzies collected and given to Beth soon. She will bring them to the McKinnons after April 15th. Thank you for your help and kindness in this time of great tragedy for the McKinnons. Peace, Deb Norton Christ, Martinsville

Dear Parishes,

As many of you know, on March 19, Lindsay and Tom McKinnon's home burned down, taking their two beautiful sons' (Patrick and Logan) lives.

Peace,
