(Reuters)-A young German co-pilotbarricaded himself alone in the cockpit ofGermanwings flight 9525 and apparentlyset it on course to crash into an Alpinemountain, killing all 150 people on boardincluding himself, French prosecutorssaid on Thursday.

They offered no motive for whyAndreas Lubitz, 27, would take thecontrols of the Airbus A320, lock thecaptain out of the cockpit anddeliberately set it veering down fromcruising altitude at 3,000 feet perminute.

German police searched his homefor evidence that might offer someexplanation for what was behindTuesday's crash in the French Alps.

The scenario stunned the aviationworld. Within hours of the prosecutors'announcement, several airlinesresponded by immediately changing their

rules to require a second crew member tobe in the cockpit at all times. That isalready compulsory in the United Statesbut not in Europe.

Canada said it would now require itof all its airlines. EasyJet, Norwegian AirShuttle and Air Berlin were among othercarriers that swiftly announced suchpolicies.

Among those that didn't wasGermanwings parent companyLufthansa, whose CEO said he thought itwas unnecessary. But the airline cameunder swift pressure on social media tomake such a change and later said itwould discuss it with others in theindustry.

French and German officials saidthere was no indication Lubitz was aterrorist but offered no rival theories toexplain his actions. Acquaintancesdescribed him as an affable young manwho had given no sign of harmful intent.

Lubitz acted "for a reason we cannot

fathom right now but which looks likeintent to destroy this aircraft", Marseilleprosecutor Brice Robin said.

Setting the plane's controls for rapiddescent was an act that "could only havebeen voluntary", Robin said. “He had...no reason to stop the pilot-in-commandfrom coming back into the cockpit. Hehad no reason to refuse to answer to theair controller who was alerting him onthe loss of altitude."

The captain, who had stepped outof the cockpit, probably to use the toilet, could be heard on flight recordings tryingto force his way back in. "You can hearbanging to try to smash the door down,"Robin said.

Most of the passengers would nothave been aware of their fate until thevery end, he said: "Only toward the enddo you hear screams," he said. "And bearin mind that death would have beeninstantaneous...the aircraft was literallysmashed to bits."

The B.C. government is planing tointroduce new education standardswhich can take some of the control awayfrom the teachers’ union, and giving itselfnew powers to force school districts intoshared service agreements.

Bill 11, the Education StatutesAmendment Act (2015) will help schooldistricts reduce overhead costs, establisha modern framework for teacherprofessional development and put astronger focus on accountability forstudent outcomes, Education MinisterPeter Fassbender announced today.

“British Columbians expect our K-12system to be run efficiently, that teachersand students have the supports theyneed, and that everyone is focussed onwhat matters most - student learning. That’s what these amendments are allabout.” said Peter Fassbender, Minister ofEducation

“British Columbia has one of thebest education systems in the world, butwe can’t just sit back. We need to pursuenew, innovative approaches that promisebetter results for students.

Proposed amendments to theSchool Act, the Independent School Actand the Teachers Act are focussed on fourobjectives:

Building a framework forcontinuing professional development;

Facilitating delivery of sharedservices among school districts;

Improving the accountabilityframework for student learning; and

Aligning the provisions on thedisclosure of student data with theFreedom of Information and Protectionof Privacy Act.

It is common practice in manyprofessions to set standards for ongoingprofessional development. Currently, there are no detailed requirements forcertified teachers to maintain currency ofpractice. The proposed amendments tothe Teachers Act will provide the ministerwith the authority to establish a morerobust framework. Working with theprofession, the goal is to enhance publicconfidence that certified teachers haveaccess to, and are regularly participatingin, high-quality professionaldevelopment aimed at improving studentachievement.

Boards of education have beentasked with finding administrativesavings and efficiencies, similar to whathas occurred in the health and post-secondary sectors. Amendments to the

School Act will provide boards with clearauthority to enter into shared service oralternative service delivery agreementswith other boards or public sectorentities. To maximize the opportunitiesand benefits, the changes also providethe Minister with the authority to requireboards to participate in specific servicedelivery arrangements.

School districts are currentlyrequired to produce a series of annualreports to ensure they are accountable forlocal student achievement. In recentyears it has become clear the K-12 systemwould benefit from more meaningful andflexible approaches. Amendments to theSchool Act will remove inflexiblelanguage and processes and replace themwith more targeted, co-constructedapproaches to enhance the system-widefocus on student learning.

The use and analysis of high-qualitydata is essential to improving K-12programs and operations and monitoringthe impact of new curriculum and otherlearning innovations. Amendments willalign the School Act with more currentprovisions and safeguards found in theFreedom of Information and Protectionof Privacy Act. This will allow theministry to disclose and use student datato improve the K-12 system whileprotecting personal privacy consistentwith standards across the B.C. publicsector, including health and socialservices.

The entirely preventable outbreak of measles that originated

at Disneyland in December has now infected 173 people in 17 U.S.

states, according to the most recent statistics.

Add to that 136 (at last count) in Quebec’s Lanaudière region

after a single family that opposes vaccination on religious grounds

brought it home from their Magic Kingdom vacation and spread it

to their community. Now an infected child who went to school might

have brought the disease to a wider population.

The proliferation of measles, mumps, rubella and other

infections once considered eradicated has reignited debate about

the rights of those who refuse to inoculate their children for a

variety of personal reasons versus those of society as a whole. The

lowering of herd immunity, because vaccination rates are no longer

high enough to protect young babies and the immuno-suppressed,

has sparked urgent discussion among policy-makers about how to

address the problem.

A study recently released by the C.D. Howe Institute found

Alberta and Newfoundland and Labrador rely on nurses to

approach and educate families of newborns about vaccines, as well

as administer the shots. Both keep registries of those who accept

and refuse vaccination, but Newfoundland and Labrador has a

greater over-all vaccination rate, likely due to rigorous followup

among a smaller population.

Ontario requires children to have up-to-date immunizations

to attend school, but parents can opt out if they complete

paperwork to obtain an exemption. This also provides a snapshot of

immunization rates, although belatedly.

If we’ve learned anything from the last three months of

measles spreading, it’s that good data are valuable and rare. Not

only does this information, if properly tracked, give health

authorities the ability to reach fence-sitters who may not be

immunizing their children out of forgetfulness or inertia, but it also

provides an important early warning system of where weaknesses

exist. After the biggest North American outbreak of measles in 15

years hit Quebec in 2011, public health officials went from school to

school gathering information. Quebec is now in the process of

establishing a registry of vaccinations by 2016, a positive step.

But data collection must go hand-in-hand with policies that

make it more difficult to opt out of vaccinations to keep preventable

diseases at bay. Federal Health Minister Rona Ambrose recently said

proof of immunization should be required to attend public school.

She has no authority to impose such a rule. What she does have the

power to do is to link child tax credits and other benefits to proof

of vaccination, as Australia did in the 1990s to help boost its

sagging rates.

The responsible majority who do immunize their children

are losing patience with those who deny science and put others at

risk. Policy-makers should no longer enable such reckless

behaviour. It’s time to become serious about boosting the

vaccination rate.

Understanding Youth and GangsThe issue of youth violence, drugs

and gangs is always very troublesomefor every community. Unfortunately, theSouth Asian community has borne abrunt of it. Since early 1990s, ourcommunity has lost close to 200 youngpeople, mostly in their early or latetwenties to this curse. To its credit, ourcommunity, along with the South Asianmedia-both electronic and print, including Apna Roots and Indo-Canadian Times, have been doing acommendable job in creating moreawareness about this issue. Theformation of the Sikh Societies of LowerMainland in 2002, which later expandedand transformed into the South AsianCommunity Coalition Against YouthViolence (SACCAYV) in 2007, was amajor development. A lot has beenaccomplished since then. However, a lotmore still needs to be done to keep ouryouth and communities safe.

The recentdevelopments in Surrey involving anumber of young people are veryworrisome. Numerous targetedshootings over a few days resulting ininjury to some youth are very troubling. How did these young people reach thatpoint is puzzling. Rather than gettinginto the blame game, as a community,we need to re -examine our values andpriorities. As a community, we need toshift our focus away from materialisticoutlook towards a spiritual and balancedlifestyle. We need to attach moreimportance to bonding with our childrenand youth and be good role models forthem. Certainly, money and materialismhave their own significance and place in

our lives. However, to pursue them atany cost, especially at the cost of one’sfamily may not be the best choice.

There is a wise oldsaying that an ounce of prevention isbetter than a pound of cure. This is sotrue especially in case of our youth. Moreover, prevention has to start at avery early age. Sooner, the better.Research indicates that the bonding andattachment experienced by a child inhis/her early years goes a long way inshaping that child’s life in later years. Inaddition to bonding, role modelling byparents and caregivers plays a crucialrole in the growth and development ofchildren and youth. As good role modelsfor our children and youth we must be

willing to spend quality time withthem, take interest in their lives andguide them through a ratherchallenging phase during theiradolescent/teenage years. Moving fromcontrol to connection goes a long wayin gaining our youth’s trust.

For a long time itwas believed that a child’s brain is fullyhardwired by age 6. However, the latestresearch in this regard indicates thatthis process of neurologicaldevelopment continues all the way tillthe youth’s mid-twenties. Some of theskills that the youth lack and that arestill developing have a major impact onhis/her everyday life and their decisionmaking process. Incidentally, these arethe skills most needed when theseyoung people have to make majordecisions on a daily basis. Theseinclude reading social cues, predictivejudgement, insight, impulse control andempathy. As adults in their lives we

need to be extra patient inunderstanding and guiding them.

As parents andcaregivers, we must keep in mind that aschildren grow older, their affinitytowards peers gets stronger andattachment towards their parents andextended family gets weaker. They longto belong. If that sense of belonging andinclusion/recognition is not available athome they will seek it somewhere else. This is when they start drifting towardsnegative peers. From there, it may leadthem to drugs and gangs etc. Thus, theonus to keep our youth on the right trackand help them become proud andproductive citizens is a joint and sharedresponsibility of the family and thecommunity. SACCAYV, along with manyother individuals and organizations, hasbeen working hard for almost fifteenyears in creating awareness about theseissues amongst youth and parents.

VICTORIA - Moody's InvestorsService has reaffirmed BritishColumbia's AAA credit rating andupgraded the Province's outlook tostable, with the agency saying it reflectsthe strong fiscal position of the province,Premier Christy Clark announced today.

"British Columbia is a leader incontrolling spending, attractinginvestment, and diversifying markets forour goods. Moody's upgrading B.C.'scredit rating outlook to AAA stable - thehighest possible - is further validation ofthe hard work British Columbians havedone to build a growing, diverseeconomy," said Premier Christy Clark.

The agency highlights B.C.'sforecast of continued balanced budgetsand says stabilizing the Province's debtburden is achievable.

Moody's said, "The stable outlookon the Province of British Columbia'sratings reflects our opinion that theprovince has presented a credible plan ofconsistent balanced budgets with littlerisk that the debt burden will exceedcurrent forecasts."

"British Columbians can bejustifiably proud that, as a result of hardwork and discipline, internationalagencies continue to assign their veryhighest marks and recognize ourprovince's credit worthiness and goodfiscal management," Finance MinisterMichael de Jong said.

The agency explains the AAA ratingdemonstrates B.C.'s high debtaffordability, strong fiscal managementand fiscal flexibility.

British Columbia's proven trackrecord of fiscal prudence and meeting

fiscal targets over the past 10 years, andthe province's large and diverse economyare praised by Moody's as contributing toB.C.'s credit strength.

Moody's applied a negative outlookto B.C.'s rating in December 2012,recognizing a softening economicoutlook and weaker commodity prices, and increasing debt burden. Moody'sreaffirmed B.C.'s AAA credit rating inMay 2014. Triple-A is the highest-possible rating from Moody's. Currently,B.C., Alberta and Saskatchewan are theonly provinces rated triple-A withMoody's.

Since November 2004, the Provincehas received seven credit ratingupgrades. British Columbia continues tomaintain the highest credit ratingpossible with Moody's, Standard andPoor's and Fitch. Standard & Poor's mostrecently affirmed its AAA rating in May2014 following Budget 2014. TheDominion Bond Rating Service affirmedB.C.'s AA (high) credit rating in April2014 and Fitch affirmed the Province'sAAA rating in April 2014.

Moody's affirms B.C.'s AAA rating -improvesoutlook to "stable," says Premier Clark

itself entangled in yet another scam, thisone involving deeply discounted airlinetickets that were purchased with stolencredit cards.

The airline said Monday that it hasuncovered a fraud scheme involving acheap airfare offer for registrants of anupcoming conference in the UnitedStates.

WestJet said its fraud investigatorsuncovered the scam, which advertisedreturn flights for up to 50% lower thanfares available through WestJet’swebsite, while doing routine checks ofits credit-card transactions.

It’s estimated that up to 100 peopleaccepted the offer and paid for theairfare only to discover that their ticketwas invalid because it had beenpurchased with a stolen credit card.

“It also shows that the old adage ismore appropriate today than everbefore: if it seems too good to be true, itprobably is. It’s important to do yourhomework before purchasing yourflights.” Alexis Gunderson, WestJet’steam lead for fraud investigation, said ina statement.

This isn’t the first time WestJet’sname has been used by fraudsters. Along-running phone scam where targetsare told they’ve won something fromWestJet has reappeared in recent weekswith an offer of “999 WestJet dollars.”

Dear SOS: I am a modernperson who feels people havethe right to live their lives asthey choose. Because of that Ihave given my children theright to decide what theywant, where they want to goand who their friends are. Ihave taught them todifferentiate right fromwrong. I believe my kids aregood kids. That example wasshown to me recently.

We were recently at afamily party and my sister-in-law and brother-in-law camein with their two daughtersand I was very surprised to seehow they were dressed. Thegirls were wearing dressesthat sat very high on theirthighs. And the neckline randown to the point that thegirls’ cleavages were showingto a point that it’s notappropriate at any functionlet alone at a family function. But their parents seemoblivious to this fact. Thisgathering was a mixed crowd

with a 1/4 percent of thecrowd made up of Beejis andBaba jis and a ¼ percent madeup of young people in theirmid twenties or younger andthe rest of people were in theirforties and fifties. I saw theladies roll their eyes whenthey saw these girls.

I actually feltembarrassed. But no one saidanything to the girls or totheir parents. When we camehome, I was surprised to havemy kids make comments abouthow the girls’ dresses were notappropriate. They wonderedwhy the parents did not sayanything. They said there is aplace and a time to wearclothes like this and this wasnot one of them. They askedme if I would allow them towear anything like this to aparty, where most of thecrowd was Indian Beejis, Babajis, Aunties and Uncles. Myanswer was no. Now, this isnot to say that my girls don’twear shorts or short dresses

but they are always in decentlength and don’t shout toeveryone to come look at me. Itoo am surprised at theirparents for not sayinganything. My kids questionedwhy no one said anything tothem. Well, I have no answerand I also questioned why noone said anything. These areparents who are always thefirst to make negativecomments about otherpeople’s children.

Shocked in SurreyDear Shocked in Surrey: I

have found those who make lots offuss about other people’s childrenusually end up with their own kidsdoing things they have objectiontoo. This might be just the case inthis situation. If these people arelike you say they are then I am surethat they know what their girlswere wearing, and it’s notsomething they should wear tofamily parties. But maybe theparents in question have no controlover their girls and they don’t listento what the parents say. You shouldbe glad that you have raised yourchildren well and stop worryingabout other people and theirchildren.

Dear SOS (Sabrina Offers Support)

April 2015 will be somehow more stable for

Arians than March from the sentimental

point of view, but it will stay at quite high

emotional rates.Jupiter will continue

stimulating the erotic instinct of Aries people

and their appetite for love affairs. On the

other hand, Mars, the ruler of Aries, will settle in a safer, more

comfortable area, and it is still there that Venus will also be in the

first decan of April 2015.Therefore, the grounds of a practical

nature seem to prevail over the romantic enthusiasm, or at least

to give it some limits and balanceAs Mars, the planet of desire and the ruler of

Taurus' house of couple, will be in Taurus all

throughout April 2015, you can expect a

significant period at the sentimental level, very

active and full of passion. You'll be sexy and

sensual, especially in the first part of the month,

when Venus, the planet of love, will also be in

the sign of Taurus. Not only will you be ready to

take initiative and start real campaigns to win somebody's

affection if you are interested in them. You'll have to do a lot of

exercise though, and stay away from stimulants and addictions.

The first decan of April 2015 will favor

long-term couple projects, solving

problems, negotiating the tasks assigned to

each of you, and joined involvement in

social life, in collective activities, in studies,

opinion sharing and trips. All the above will

remain valid for the rest of the month too,

but will become less important, as there will

be an astral event that will create the context for much more

tempting preoccupations: on April 11th 2015 Venus, the

planet of love, will enter Gemin

Saturn, the ruler of Cancer's house of

couple, will impose restrictions on you,

hardly ever allowing you the right to choose.

It seems that for a while you'll have to do

what you are supposed to rather than what

you like doing. There will stil be an option

that would meet Saturn's demands while

allowing the manifestation of your sentimental life too:

interweaving love with daily tasks. For example, in an affair

at the workplace.

In the first two decans of April 2015, the

above mentioned combination will be

strengthened by the trine that the Sun, Leo's

ruler, will form with Saturn and Jupiter. You

can expect sentimental fulfillment that will

be connected to distance, to the higher

education, scientific, cultural or spiritual environment.

Venus, the planet of love, will favor the combination between

Leo's couple life and career or the high spheres in the first

decan of April 2015, respectively with friendship, social

events and group activities in the second and the third decans.

Against a slightly confusing or uncertain

background, Virgos will worry a bit too much

in the first part of April 2015. You'll have the

impression that the other one doesn't

understand you or doesn't appreciate you

enough, or that you don't manage to

decipher their intentions or actions. You can,

however, meet on an intellectual and spiritual ground, and you

can examine the psychological base of the relationship

together.

The Sun will light upon Libra's house ofcouple until April 21st 2015. In this periodyou'll relate more to your loved one, withwhom you'd like to share more of your time, thoughts and affection, and from whom you'llwait for feedback, attention, approval. In thefirst part of April Mercury will also passthrough Libra's sector of partnerships, so that

communication will be favored and important for your couplelife. Until April 11th 2015, Venus will stimulate Libra'sinterest in the mysterious (maybe even taboo) side of love, inits deep, psychological aspects.

The transit of Mars (the ruler of your sign)

through Scorpio's house of relationships will

show how important this realm will be to

you in April 2015. Mars will orient Scorpio's

attention and energy towards the interaction

with the others, and this interaction will be

very lively and will have a strong impact.

Things will be either white or black, you'll feel the need to clarify,

to cut to the chase, to decide and take action. The first decan of

the month, when Venus is also in Scorpio's house of relationships,

will have a great potential for passion and eroticism.

April 2015 will be a sensual and exciting monthfor Sagittarians.Until April 15th, Mercury, theruler of Sagittarius' house of couple, will be inSagittarius' house of passion, and then it willmove on to the next house, only to end up in theproximity of Mars, which is exactly the planetof passion. Both positions will stimulate theerotic dynamism and will give you an appetitefor conquests and gallant affairs. Starting the

second decan of April 2015, love, tenderness and goodunderstanding with your partner will be fully nurtured by thepresence of Venus in Sagittarius' house of couple.

Jupiter, the Greater Benefic, has been in Aquarius'house of relationships for some time now, and itwill stay there until August 2015, creating afavorable background to love, understanding andpositive development of your couple life. OnApril 11th 2015, Venus, the Lesser Benefic andthe planet of love, will enter Capricorn's house of

eroticism. Both beneficial planets will now be on your side inlove! In conclusion, you have a few very promising weeks aheadof you: passion, sexual fulfillment, homage and offers hard torefuse , maybe even a new love.

Communication and information arestrongly connected to Pisces'relationships. You are drawn tointelligent, open, talkative people, from whom you can learn a lot, withwhom you can share impressions. Inyour turn, you first and foremost

conquer by the force of your ideas, by the passionwith which you express yourself or by the way youtransmit emotions in writing, rather than by the wayyou look. In the first part of April 2015 money, valuable possessions and practical aspects will havehigher influence on Pisces' couple life.

Mars, the planet of passion, will be inCapricorn's house of eroticism throughoutApril 2015. This position of Mars' will chaseaway your inhibition, will enhance yourromantic enthusiasm and will lend you thecourage to experiment at the sentimentaland sexual level, to do crazy things in the

name of love. The first decan of April 2015 will have hugesentimental load for Capricornians: Venus will be close toMars, and the Venus-Mars combination in one's house oflove is arguably the hottest there can be In the secondpart of April 2015.

• Get off the couch and play a sportlike basketball (burns approximately 280calories per half an hour) instead ofplaying a video game that only burns 53calories.

• Instead of playing a board game,do a jump rope contest to see who canskip the longest to burn approximately100-150 calories in only 10 minutes.

• Did you know it would take youan hour and 40 minutes of exercise toburn off the calories consumed from alarge serving of fries at a fast foodchain?

(NC) Don't be one of theCanadians that get caught up ingifting tax shelter schemes.

Gifting tax shelter schemesprovide little or no benefit to thecharities involved or to theirintended beneficiaries. Instead, many of these arrangementsexploit a registered charity'sreceipting privileges for the privategain of the promoters andparticipants.

How do you spot a gifting taxshelter scheme? Typically, participants invest a small amountof money and receive a tax receiptfor an amount several times higherthan what they actually spent.Examples of these schemes includebuy-low, donate-high schemes;gifting trust arrangements; andleveraged cash donations.

The Canada Revenue Agency(CRA) warns you not to becomeinvolved in gifting tax shelterschemes. Taxpayers should beaware that if they receive anofficial donation receipt for an amounthigher than the value of propertydonated, the receipt is not valid andcannot be used to claim a tax credit.Registered charities can jeopardize theirregistered status by participating in sucharrangements.

The CRA audits every gifting taxshelter that offers official donationreceipts in excess of the value of any

property donated and to date has notfound a single arrangement that complieswith the Income Tax Act.

As of March 31st, 2014, the CRA hasreassessed more than 190,000 taxpayerreturns denying in excess of $6.3 billionin donation claims.

We have also assessed more than$162 million in third party penaltiesagainst promoters and tax preparers.

When it comes to cooking meatthere is no mistaking the unique tastethat grilling offers aspiring chefs. Infact research shows that flavour is theprimary reason why people love tobarbecue. While the thought ofslapping a strip loin steak, baby backribs, or salmon fillet on the grill stillmakes any meat lover salivate, thefollowing cooking techniques will takeyour meats flavour to another level:

Turn your gas grill into a smoker:Combining the cooking power of aBroil King gas grill and the right toolsallows you to add the smoky flavour ofhickory, mesquite, and whiskey to yourmeat without purchasing a smoker. When you smoke a cut of meat, give itplenty of time so it can absorb theflavour. Soak the wood chips in waterfor at least half an hour and then drainthem. There are several different typesof Broil King wood chips available. Usea stainless steel or cast iron smoker boxplaced under the cooking grids so thechips will smolder and smoke.

Planking: Cooking meat andseafood on a wooden plank is a simple

technique that will give your meatadditional flavour. Broil King offerscedar, maple, and oak wine barrelgrilling planks. Just soak the plank inwater, juice, or beer for an hour andpat it dry. Place the seasoned meat on

the plank and then onto a mediumlow-temperature grill.

Here is a recipe from the grillingexperts at Broil King that will let youtest out the new techniques:

Ingredients:1 6lb salmon fillet, skin on1 untreated cedar plank, sized to

accommodate salmon filletAsian Ginger Marinade¼ cup white wine1 orange, finely grated zest and

juice1 tbsp sesame oil1 tsp ginger, grated1 tsp honey1 tsp Asian chilli saucesalt and pepper to tasteDirections:

To begin with, soak a cedar plankin a container of water for at least anhour. You may need to place a weighton top to keep the wood immersed.

Meanwhile, combine ingredientsfor marinade in a large, flat shallowglass dish and marinate the salmonfillets, skin-on, in the refrigerator forhalf an hour. Preheat barbecue onHIGH for 10 minutes.

Pat dry plank and oil the upperside. Place plank directly on the gridsand heat with the lid closed until theplank begins to smoke. Place thesalmon, skin side down in the middleof the plank and grill until just opaqueat the thickest part. A 6 lb. fillet maytake 30 minutes.

Cooking techniques that maximize your meats flavour

(NC) Everyperson should have awill, which shouldcover at least sevenessential points to avoid difficulties inthe future, as follows:

• Make sure only one will exists.• Determine who you want as your

executor—the person who will carry outyour wishes in settling your estate.

• Carefully plan for yourdependents.

• Name a guardian for youngchildren.

• Detail specific monies or gifts tofriends, relatives or charities.

• Consider what people ororganizations mean a lot to you for theresidue of your estate. One's church, acharity, or a favourite organization likeAmnesty International, are often on thislist.

• Put in writing the details of yourfuneral arrangements.

After you have taken care of thesebasic issues, you may want to consider afew other areas.

A will is more than a simple outlineof the final distribution of your propertyand effects. It is an occasion to plan forthe financial support of people andprojects that you have actively supportedduring your lifetime. It can also be thetime to finally help those people andgroups that you always intended tosupport but didn't have the resources todo so.

While everyone involved in estateplanning agrees with the need to make awill, remember that it is, in fact, yourwill. Consider your own wishes and

feelings. A will is an importantdocument, but if it does not express yourwishes, it is not done well.

Talk it over. Consider the future.Make a draft. Think again. Your will isprobably one of the most important, andpersonal, documents you will everprepare.

Laws about will-making and taxesvary from province to province and thespecific wording to ensure that yourwishes are carried out may require thehelp of a lawyer. Experts stronglyrecommend that you seek legal advicewhen making out your will.

A free information package on willsis available from Amnesty International,312 Laurier Avenue East, #316, Ottawa,Ontario, K1N 1H9.

A will is your most personal document

Elevate youreyes even further with a warm eyeshadow or coloured contact lens. “Thecontrasts of a rich, dark brown shadowand AIR OPTIX COLORS Honey contactlenses results in a look that's fresh andmodern,” says Lee.

Tips for Night:

To achieve a sultry nighttime lookgo for a classic smoky eye. When you'regetting decked out for a major night onthe town, nothing adds drama quite likethis. The best part? The smoky eyedoesn't have to be black. Try grey, navy, plum or forest green to dial up the sexyand add a level of surprise. This isanother great way to #LiveInColor.

Use metallic shadows to add dramaand intrigue to the eye. Compliment thismetallic palette with the addition of AIROPTIX COLORS' Sterling Gray contactlenses. “This offers fashion-forwardbeauties a bold, new way to enhanceand redefine their look, complementingtheir already vibrant style andhighlighting one of the first thingspeople notice – their eyes,” notes Lee.

Never be afraid to #LiveInColorwith a new beauty routine.
