A Note from The Marketing Department:
We are looking to create a more “welcoming” experience when new residents move into our community. So, I am looking to re-establish our Resident Ambassador Program. The Resident Ambassador Program is a “Welcoming Committee!” When we have a move-in, I assign one Resident Ambassador to welcome the new resident, invite them to meal time and activities, show them around, etc. Then, the other Resident Ambassadors pay a special visit to welcome them to the community as well. Please, give me a call if this is something you are interested in doing and I will add you to my list for our next meeting! Thank you, Rachel Parker – Extension 4001
Tax Assistance

Volunteers from AARP will be here again this year to assist with tax preparations. You must sign up in the book to be assured an appointment. It is strongly recommended that you bring last year’s tax return with you. It will make your appointment go a lot easier if you have this information with you.

Won’t You Be My Neighbor? Each year, March 20 is celebrated as Won’t You Be My Neighbor Day in honor of the birthday of Fred Rogers, everybody’s favorite television neighbor. Rogers suffered a lonely childhood and
was often taunted about being overweight. He overcame his shyness to become a Presbyterian minister but left the seminary to go into television. He hated TV and wanted to transform it into a means of nurturing those who would watch and listen. Rogers was a natural when it came to children’s broadcasting, using his talents to develop puppets, music, and characters that appealed to kids’ better natures. By the time the show Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood aired in 1968, he had mastered his use of imaginative elements and the kind, quiet manner that became his trademark.
