The centre has continued to reduce energy usage and increase sustainability over the last period. The installation programme of sensors and LED lights has continued alongside active management this has produced a saving in January of -8.12% year on year!
FIRE ALARM TESTS
Remember to carry out your weekly alarm testing on Tuesday’s or Wednesday’s. Please contact the control room on 02476 634 720 before you activate your alarm.
SERVICE CORRIDORS
We have recently installed noise activated self-close devices to fire doors within the rear service corridors. To enable you to receive deliveries easily, the doors will remain open, but will activate and close, should the fire alarm sound. The fire strategy for these areas is based on compartmentalised containment. Please can you assist us by keeping these areas clear at all times.
SCHEDULED WORKS
For all works that involve access to common areas, roof or works on life line systems (Fire and Sprinkler) please send RAMS to [email protected]. Please review all documents before sending. You must ensure 48 hours’ notice for all routine works.
You are responsible for checking that all contractors have signed in with security and completed the relevant documentation before any work is carried out on behalf of your store. Please note the times below for specific works to be scheduled: Sprinkler Checks/Flow SwitchesWednesday 7am – 8am Fire Alarm/Curtain Testing or routine maintenanceTuesday / Wednesday 7am – 10am
SUSPECTED SHOP LIFTER/STOP POLICY
Shop staff are responsible for making a stop and only if they are 100% certain that an offence has been committed. Centre security are here to assist but cannot make a stop unless they have personally witnessed the offence. Please note that if a shop lifter is apprehended by centre security, the offender will be taken back to your store and should be dealt with according to store policy.
If a customer is aggressive security will assist but stores should escalate to 999.
