President’s Message

continued from page 1

Also please get your thinking caps on and submit your

suggestions on a name of our new Gallery. Could be

just ‘The Gallery’ by

Huachuca Art Association as a potential name. If you

send an e-mail [email protected],

please put something into

the subject line, otherwise it goes to junk mail. I won’t open it unless I know it’s legitimate, so please submit your suggestions so they can be considered.

Calling would be another way to contact any member of the board, as the phone numbers are listed in the Arty facts. While you’re considering a Gallery

name, please consider exterior colors of the building. We’re artists and I’m

sure there will be some wild concoctions of color suggested. I suggested a yellow/orange for the brightness with purple awnings. There was also a

building in Tucson we noticed last month on our tour, which was totally Pur-ple, with white trim. Something that will pop and grab attention with some

contrast here and there.

We also are asking for additional donations to our building fund. Keep in mind that we are a non-profit and your donation is tax deductible. Thank you

for all your previous donations.

From the Studio

No Studio Events in March Because of the impending move to HAA's new building on Paseo San Louis, there will not be a Member's Demo, Paper Arts or Dine with the Artists in March. There will be an announcement when these sessions resume.

February Paper Arts Who couldn't use a gift bag now and then? Carolyn Yeutter showed our group how to create one with ribbon, card stock and a bit of glue here and there. All Photos courtesy Gabrielle LaFargue.

February Members Demonstration Carolyn Yeutter showed the audience a number of techniques and tips to create a pen and ink drawing. Some of the audience then tried their hand using masking fluid and various sizes Pigma Micron Pens to create their own drawing.
