celebrating the entrepreneurial spirit of the Triangle with an inspirational two-day event.

distance to over 30 restaurants, exciting nightlife and
entertainment. Click here to see a video with feedback
from past sponsors.

A hallmark of ^5 is five world-class keynote speakers. At some conferences attendees might hear from
one or two great speakers. At ^5, naturally we have five inspiring keynotes.
2016 keynote speakers will include two marketers, two creatives, and a fifth “crossover” speaker. We’ve
already confirmed our first two keynote speakers.
Jay Baer
Jay Baer is a renowned business strategist, keynote speaker and the New York
Times best-selling author of four books who travels the world helping
businesspeople get and keep more customers.
Jay has advised with more than 700 companies since 1994, including Caterpillar,
Nike, Allstate, and 31 of the FORTUNE 500.
He is the founder of Convince & Convert, a strategy consulting firm that helps prominent companies gain
and keep more customers through the smart intersection of technology, social media, and customer
service.
Scott Monty
Scott Monty is an internationally recognized leader in digital communications, digital
transformation, social media and marketing.
As principal of Scott Monty Strategies, he counsels brands and agencies on
strategy, executive communications, influencer management, the customer
experience, and digital initiatives.
Scott spent six years at Ford Motor Company, as a strategic advisor on crisis communications, influencer
relations, digital customer customer service, innovative product launches and more. He also has a decade
of experience in communications and marketing agencies, where he had clients that included IBM
Healthcare and Life Sciences, Coca-Cola, American Airlines, T-Mobile, and GE Software.

To give you an idea of what to expect for the next three keynotes (TBD), here’s the 2015 lineup:
Aaron Draplin Inventor of Field Notes. Renowned designer and creative director at Draplin Design Company. Clients include Nike, Patagonia, New York Times, Wired, Obama Administration, Incase, and ESPN.
Spike Jones Group Director, Edelman Digital. Alum of Fleishman-Hillard and WCG. Co-author of Brains on Fire: Igniting Powerful, Sustainable Word of Mouth Movements. Has lead word-of-mouth programs for BMW,
USAA, AT&T, General Motors, Chevrolet, Fiskars Brands, Gatorade and Best Buy.
Ekaterina Walter
Ekaterina Walter led strategic and marketing innovation for Fortune 500 brands such as Intel and Accenture. Branderati, the start-up she
co-founded, was acquired by Sprinklr where she now serves as
Global Evangelist. She is the author of the Wall Street Journal bestseller Think Like Zuck.
Johnny Earle Over the past decade Johnny Cupcakes, founded by Johnny Earle, has grown from a “joke” to a multi-million dollar, highly exclusive t-
shirt brand driven by world-wide collectors. Johnny has been named Americas #1 Young Entrepreneur by BusinessWeek.
Peter Shankman
The New York Times has called him "a public relations all-star who knows everything about new media and then some," while
Investor's Business Daily has labeled him "crazy, but effective." Peter Shankman is a spectacular example of what
happens when you merge the power of pure creativity with ADHD
and a dose of adventure, and make it work to your advantage.
Last year’s topics were: Strategy, Creative, Storytelling and Digital.
We’ll open a call for breakout speakers in fall 2015.
This new format will bring speakers (and audiences) into the exhibit hall.
