March 10th, 2018 Dear Exhibitors: On behalf of the Ohio Academy of Science and the University of Cincinnati, thank you for participating in the Southwest Ohio Science and Engineering Expo 2018 on Saturday, March 10th. This year marks the 14th anniversary of the Southwest Ohio Science and Engineering Expo and we are excited to offer $40,000 in scholarships and cash awards. In addition, students with superior projects may advance to the Ohio State Science Day in Columbus on May 12th, 2018. Please find attached important information about the day of the Expo, including a schedule of events, campus map, and directions. Exhibitor Load-in Times
Please Note: These are the pre-arranged load-in times for the exhibitors. If you are NOT on this list and you believe that you need to be, please contact us with an appropriate load-in time so we can alert the student volunteers.
Exhibitors may pull up directly to the front doors of TUC to unload or load display items, but your car must be moved to street parking/a parking garage after unloading. The Exhibit Drop Off/Load Map provided shows how to get to the front of TUC. Please be aware that FC Cincinnati has scheduled a preseason game for Saturday, March 10th, 2018 at 4:00 PM in Nippert Stadium. We anticipate an increased level of traffic near campus.

Event Information
Parking Enclosed is a campus map and instructions for traveling to UC. We recommend that either parents use the Campus Green Garage (located next to the Lindner College of Business) or Woodside Garage (under the Langsam Library) highlighted on the map. For those with physical disabilities, we have arranged for you to park in the CCM garage. Please note there will be no parking in the drop-off area and normal parking rates apply. Student volunteers will be on hand at each garage to direct you to Tangeman University Center. Please see attached campus map for detailed information.
Lunch We have several food options in TUC. There will be student volunteers on the floor to watch your exhibit if you choose to leave to get lunch. Student volunteers will be in designated UC t-shirts. Feel free to ask a student volunteer either on the floor or at the Level 3 information desk if you would like to grab a quick lunch.
We have included a map of nearby food options for you. We will have student volunteers on hand the day of the fair to direct you to the various food options around campus.
Student Volunteers Each group of three exhibitors will be assigned a UC Student Volunteer (we call them “Exhibitor Captains”) to assist with set up, tear down, and any other needs you may have. The student volunteers are here to make the fair run as smoothly as possible and to make your experience at the Expo a positive one. Please do not hesitate to make your needs known to them—if you need assistance with your display, would like them to stay with your exhibit while you use the restroom, or if you would simply like a (complimentary) bottle of water.

Driving Directions
Directions
From the north via I-75 From I-75, take exit 6 onto Mitchell Ave toward St. Bernard Turn left onto W Mitchell Ave Turn Right onto Vine St Turn right onto W University Ave From the west via I-74 Take I-74 east to I-75 south. Take exit 20 for US 127 S toward US 27 S Keep right to stay on Exit 20, follow signs for US 27/US 127/Central Parkway Merge onto US 127 S/Central Parkway Turn left onto MLK drive W Turn right onto Jefferson Ave Turn right onto Corry Blvd From the north via I-71 From I-71 south, take the Taft Road exit (exit 3). The exit places you on Taft Road, a one-way street heading west. Taft Road becomes Calhoun Street as you near campus. Stay on Calhoun until it ends at Clifton Avenue. Turn right on Clifton Avenue. From the south via I-71 Take I-71 north until it merges with I-75 just south of Florence, KY. Stay on I-75 after you cross the Ohio River. From the right lane on I-75, take the Hopple Street exit (Exit 3). Turn right off the exit on to Hopple Street. As you cross the first intersection (Central Parkway), Hopple Street becomes MLK Drive. Follow Martin Luther King Drive up the hill to Clifton Avenue. ML King Drive borders the north edge of the West Campus. Clifton Avenue borders the west edge of the West Campus. From the east via US 50 From US 50 west, turn right on Taft Road. Taft is a one-way street heading west. Taft becomes Calhoun Street as you near campus. Stay on Calhoun until it ends at Clifton Avenue. Turn right on Clifton Avenue.
