Growing Wheat Since we live in the Midwest and are around farming, when we hear Jesus talking about the grain of wheat that must fall to the ground and die in order to become fruitful…we get that…just as the original hearers would have! For more wheat to be grown, a select number of grains need to be forced into the earth so that more grain can flourish…the process is amazing.
The question for us is, “What is our grain?”
Is it our talent? What would happen if we would all give some more time to helping others? By sharing our talents with others, wouldn’t we see some amazing results?
Is it our treasure? During this Lenten season, can we give just a little bit more? By planting some of our money, wouldn’t we see some amazing results?
Is it our time in prayer? If we spend some more time in prayer, wouldn’t we see some amazing results?
Lent will be over soon. Can we use the remaining time to plant some of our talent, treasure, and time? Can we let these “grains” fall to the ground and die so that more grain can flourish?

A special Holy Week two night presentation by Tim Francis, Do you believe in Miracles? Monday and Tuesday, March 26 and 27 at 7:00 pm Xavier Fine Arts Theatre/sponsored by CIAFMO Tim tells of a famous TV personality, an attorney and an outspoken atheist who set out to investigate super natural things: a stigmatist who bleeds from her hands, feet and head; a consecrated communion host that tests as living flesh and blood; a statue of Jesus weeping real tears and shedding real blood. Are these claims true? What does science say? Come see for yourself. Invite family and friends! Skeptics Welcome. This is a free event, please come early to make sure you get a seat/free will offering encouraged.

LENT 2018 Stations of the Cross Through the Eyes of Mary
with Deacon Don Nass and Parishioner, Mary Howard
Wednesday March 21-12:15 pm-12:45 pm This is a beautiful way to pray the
Stations of the Cross. This way of the Cross follows Jesus on his journey to Calvary through the eyes of his mother, Mary. With a mother’s love and also with deep faith, she accompanies him and invites all to follow him as well with love and deep faith.
Stations of the Cross Everyman’s Way of the Cross with Father Dennis
Friday March 23-5:00 pm-5:30 pm In this variation of the Stations of the Cross, participants meditate on how Jesus is involved in the sufferings of the world. We all experience the cross differently and through our sufferings, we are able to live with faith and trust. Come and take up your cross!
Volunteers Needed to Have Their Feet Washed Holy Thursday marks the end of Lent and the beginning of the sacred “Triduum.” The Mass of the Last Supper is Thursday, March 29, 7:00 pm. One part of the liturgy exclusive to Holy Thursday is the washing of the feet. This is done by Father and the Deacons after the homily. The washing is an example of the service to which we are called when Jesus, who is Lord, and Master, takes a basin of water and a towel and washes the feet of his apostles. It is a special honor to participate in the foot washing. If you would like to volunteer, please contact our Parish Office at 739-0331.
Liturgical Ministers Needed for the Triduum All Liturgical Ministers are needed (Communion, Lectors, Servers, Ushers, Greeters, Sacristans, Media). If you can help at any of the Masses, please call our Parish Office at 739-0331 and ask for Nadine.
