The Sacrament of Reconciliation: Confessions are heard each week on Saturday at the Church (SR #46) from 3:45pm to 4:45pm. The Sacrament of Baptism: Call the parish office to learn the necessary requirements and make an appointment to have your child baptized. The Sacrament of Marriage: Getting married? Congratulations! The process of being married in the Catholic Church could take between 6 months to a year to complete. Please contact Ann Cammarata at the parish office as soon as possible after your engagement if you would like to be married at All Souls Catholic Church. Anointing of the Sick: Please call the parish office. The Rite of Anointing tells us there is no need to wait until a person is at the point of death to receive the Sacrament. Did you know that the Sacrament may be repeated if the person becomes sick again? A person should be anointed before surgery when a dangerous illness is the reason for the intervention. Eucharistic Ministry to the Sick and Homebound: If you are unable to attend Mass, please call the parish office so we may assist you in having a visit from one of our ministers or one of our priests. Catholic Funeral and Burial: Please call the parish office or have the funeral home director contact us to arrange the Funeral Mass and for more information about burial at All Souls Catholic Cemetery.

"Master, it is good that we are here; let us make three tents,

one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah." Luke 9:33

About 8 days after the confession of Peter and the announcement of Jesus’'’ impending death, our evangelist St Luke follows it up with Jesus going up to the mountain with Peter, John and James and praying. Jesus’'’ face changed in appearance and His clothing became dazzling white. Peter saw Jesus’' glory, and made a comment he never understood, suggesting to build 3 tents. According to tradition a “"tent"” could also

mean a “"dwelling place”." Experience and stories are told as they literally happened; on the other hand, this story could easily be just a biblical text, unless we make it something to pray about and on which to contemplate. I invite you to pray as we spend time gazing, and listening to the famous story of the Transfiguration. In the 1st reading God revealed to Abram His promise of numerous descendants, “as many as the stars of heaven.” God has to take Abram outside to witness the glazing stars, how he plans to fulfill His covenant. Paul models His faith to the example Abram, the father of faith, who surrenders all to God. “Our citizenship, (our homeland is in heaven,) and we can trust our Lord who can “change our lowly body to conform with His glorified body.” What does it mean to be FIRM in our faith with God? How do I deepen my trust in the Lord? We can honor the truth of our relationship with God by trusting in His promise. Gaze to the numerous stars in the night sky, look to the light of the saints that brightens our lives with hope. By looking at the stars at night, we can remember God’'s promise to Abram, by celebrating the Transfiguration, we may be inspired by the transforming body of Christ, and forever praise His Glory, Amen!

Have a blessed week! Father David

Dear Father David and Sisters in Christ, Thank you so much for your participation in the Fashion show. The food was wonderful and we had blessed time of fellowship and fun. I want to thank God for being the light that is always there to guide us to be better disciples.

Then I want to thank our chairwomen of this event, Debbie Giardino and Barbara Joslin. A special thanks to all the ladies who volunteered in the different positions (silent action, baskets, 50/50, registration table, models); it would not have been possible with out your help. And last but not least, to all the faithful ladies that look forward year after year to this fundraiser and being a part of it. Thank you for your assistance. A special thanks to Marie Johnson for volunteering her time and providing the clothing for the models. Once again we are honored by your generosity and support. Our parish goal is $174,339.31. Once we achieve this goal, the majority of the additional funds will be returned to our parish to support our own special needs. As of March 8, 2019 we have raise $109,313.52 which is 275 gifts from 2,062 donor families (13.3% participation). Our Catholic Appeal is part of our commitment to stewardship. On this 2nd Sunday of Lent, the voice of God speaks: “ ”"This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased; listen to Him.”" We are called to a higher kind of life and” Lent is the time to acknowledge this call and to respond to these inner aspirations from God to live ever more in the way of His beloved Son. Our Catholic Appeal is an opportunity for almsgiving by pledging a truly sacrificial gift. "You don't climb a mountain in leaps and bounds, but by taking it slowly." -St. Gregory the Great

Dear Ministers of All Souls, Our parish is blessed with many ministries and service organizations; all of them staffed entirely by volunteers. Like you, these people recognize they have gifts from God and they want to express their gratitude by helping others. The problem, however, is that we may get tired, begin to burn out, or lose our motivation. We all need a spiritual lift from time to time, and to give you that lift, we have planned a very special Ministry Appreciation Luncheon in cooperation with our Lenten Parish Mission Retreat, on Saturday, April 6 from 9am to 1pm at the All Souls Catholic School Social Hall. The focus of this workshop is our parish family growing in prayer and faith. The aim is to foster spiritual renewal and growth for those who serve in our parish. Every person involved in ministry, at any level should attend. Please take a few moments now to mark this event on your calendar and make plans to join us on Saturday, April 6, at 9:00 am in the All Souls Catholic School Social Hall. In appreciation for all that you give in love a luncheon will be provided by the parish. This will be a wonderful day planned with you in mind. Please RSVP and indicate each person who will be attending. Younger Ministers are invited to attend as well. They can be listed with the adult attending. Invited Guests Under the Age of 18 Must be Accompanied by a Parent or Guardian. You may RSVP by calling the parish office, 407.322.3795 or by replying online here:

https://www.allsoulssanford.org/ministries I look forward to thanking you personally at the Luncheon!
