Team Knowles had an exciting first quarter which was kicked off with their attendance at the Network Spinal Analysis ICI and Mastery Program in January in California. It was great to see so many familiar faces!

Dr. Danny and Richelle attended Transformational Gate in February, also in the Mile-High State of Colorado.

Most importantly, Dr. Danny travelled to Florida to represent Sherman College of Chiropractic. This Sherman leadership retreat discussed the future of the campus expansion, Sherman College Lyceum which we recommend everyone attend as well as the educational technique curriculum. We are grateful to serve the profession towards what it was always meant to be.

1. Make very precise goals. 4. Create your action plan for achieving your dreams.

2. What will you GIVE to GET that result? 5. Write a concise statement about your goals.

3. Have an exact date for reaching your goal. 6. Read your statement twice a day (morning & evening).

Using PowerPoint is an amazing way to communicate your message during your next workshop. But if you’re not careful, you can unwittingly fall victim to the classic blunders which will detract from your core concepts. Here are some great ways to make sure that your next PowerPoint is seamless and as effective as possible.

Recognition Soars with Pictures Choose reinforcing photos that go along with your concept. Avoid decorative clutter on your slides. Make sure to keep things simple.

Stop Using Bullets If you’re using bullets, you’re making your presentation look too much like a PowerPoint (as well as making it too complex). Break things down. Again, simplify.

Customize as You See Fit Don’t let PowerPoint tell you how to create your presentation.

Cohesion is Key Make sure these three things work cohesively together on each slide. 1. Graphics/images 2. Text (how things are worded) 3. Audio elaboration

Text Should Only Summarize Your slides should only summarize your concepts. Elaborate as you give the presentation.

Use Complete Sentences Research shows that people learn better when given complete sentences on slides. Choose your words carefully and don’t get too wordy.

Cater to Short Attention Spans If you’re including videos, keep them under 10 minutes in order to keep people’s attention spans.

Keep Their Interest Keep the audience’s interest by changing the slides about every minute.

Full Screen Images Use full-screen images when you can. It’s more powerful. But don’t be tempted to use low quality images or ones with watermarks.

“Empty space is absolutely crucial for

obtaining clarity in your message.”

Top Tip— Add your recorded narration and

create a video that you can stream online!

If you use Facebook advertising (or are

considering it) do yourself a favor and start

small. Begin with a reserved budget of, say,

$7 per month. Why start small? Because if

you start with a bigger budget that’s closer to

$50-$100 per month, Facebook is guaranteed

to JACK-UP the cost per click (no matter how

compelling your ad is). Once you get your

cost per click in the range of $0.10 to $0.33,

then you can consider scaling up the

advertising budget. Some of the best

advertising experts in the field are running

their most successful ads for $0.08 to $0.22

per click. Wow. A great goal would be to get

your cost per lead to roughly $1.00 or below.

A “lead” is considered someone who gives

you their name and email address in

exchange for whatever free giveaway you

want to offer.

2 Chiropractic Minutes

Who’s doing their morning huddles?! If

you’re not, get started now! They’re so

powerful. I suggest letting everyone on

your team take turns sharing “2

Chiropractic Minutes” of knowledge every

morning before the office opens. Have

each person research a topic—something

brief about chiropractic—that will keep

you and your team growing. By doing

this, the whole office grows together. It’s

powerful. It sticks with people. You can

even share this info promotionally or

educationally with your members. If

you’re solo and you don’t have a team

yet, then it’s even more important. Learn

something new every day. Two minutes!

Keep your team learning & growing

during your morning huddles!

Facebook ads for chiropractors should also focus on

a 5 mile radius of the office as well as the age and

income demographics that you want to target.

You’ll also want to think about (and include)

advertisements about special events being hosted

like classes or workshops.

Whether it’s the monstrous measles, mumps, rubella, or varicella, the media seems to always be

pushing vaccinations to “protect” ourselves. Even Obama has publicly stated, “Those who don't

get their shots can pose a risk to infants and other people who can't get vaccinated.” He has

assured parents (like all politicians do) that vaccine science is indisputable.

So what do you do when confronted with this media firestorm about vaccinations? Are parents a

menace to society if they choose to not vaccinate their children? Of course not. It’s important to

note that as a non-vaccinated person, you're more likely to die from an ant bite than you are from

measles. It’s true. Science shows that when observing those that are vaccinated, they get sick…

and often. How often? The New England Journal of Medicine published that, “An outbreak of

measles occurred among adolescents in Corpus Christi, Texas in the spring of 1985 even though

vaccination requirements for school attendance had been thoroughly enforced.” This same

scenario has happened worldwide, numerous times. Even naturally acquired immunity fails to

protect the masses! This failure of herd immunity was also stressed by the medical journal Clinical

Infectious Diseases.

In 2012, a class action lawsuit "United States v. Merck & Co. and Chatom Primary Care v. Merck &

Co." two virologists from Merck proved that the drug giant falsified testing of the efficacy of the

drug and misstated the drug's efficacy to the government as having a 95 percent efficacy rate. In

the court trial, it was discovered that, Merck incorporated the use of animal antibodies to

artificially inflate the results! Results like these are proven failures. You simply can't use them as

evidence to encourage vaccination. The bottom line?

Herd immunity can't protect you. Only your immune system can.

No one has ever achieved anything great without

great people around them. Doctor, if you're going

to experience joy and freedom in practicing

chiropractic, you have to surround yourself with

great people that can do everything in your

office—not simply adjust people and communicate

people's results. Too many chiropractors get lost in

the area of being the rugged individualist who goes

out on their own and tries to do everything in their

own office. This is the path that will lead you to

being stagnant in your growth and not

experiencing freedom.

A key to growth is duplicating yourself, duplicating

what you already know, and training great people

to carry out things the way that you would like.

What are some of the tasks you should be doing?

First of all, have weekly team meetings. If you have

a new team, it’s a great idea to host team meetings

(as well as trainings) two or three days a week until

people are up to speed. After the team is

comfortably situated in their new roles, you’ll still

want to meet at least once a week.

Team huddles are also worthwhile. Are you in your

office 30 minutes before your shift? There are

many things that come up during the day that your

staff will need to ask you about. If you're in the

office 30 minutes before the doors open up, it will

give you 5 or 10 minutes to connect with your

team, therefore being a great resource to them as

they prepare to take care of your members each

day.

Record your instructions of how things are

done in your office. This is critical, but it’s all

too often overlooked. Be an action-taker and

get it done. It will absolutely be a game

changer for your practice. Not sure how to get

started? 1) Make a list of the things that you

would like your team to know how to do. 2)

Create an outline for each item on your list. 3)

Record your instructions via an audio recorder,

video recorder, or (if you’re feeling fancy)

create a PowerPoint. Once you make the

recording you'll have it forever. Then when

you hire a new team member you’ll make the

training process as easy as pie. No more being

held hostage by team members that are

potentially under-performing. Topics to get

you started: How to answer the phone; how

to schedule people. Don’t forget, a

phenomenal team is essential to you being

able to increase your impact.

Surround Yourself with Great People

Consistency

Being consistent is vital; it always trumps perfect timing. Publish often for best results.

Mondays & Thursdays

These are the two days a week when most people read blogs. Take advantage of it and post!

AM / PM Perks

Not sure what time of day to publish? Take advantage of the morning hours for initially sending

your info out to the masses. Then promote it a second time via social media in the afternoon.

Talk about maximum exposure!

Twitter & Facebook

If you have to choose a single day to promote on Twitter and Facebook, focus on Fridays.

Customize for your Audience

Your audience may not be ‘average’. Measure your content’s performance to discover your

own optimal timing.

Note: One of the strengths of social media content

as a marketing tool is the fact that every piece of

content you produce becomes a permanent asset.

Unlike paying for a TV spot or banner ad, your web

content lives FOREVER. So even if your timing is off,

you’ll still retain value in the content you produce.
