It also important to remember that in spring the fish will begin to form beds and must not be disturbed. We are continuing to work with the State Department of Natural Resource this year to get fish stocked in our ponds. The DNR is providing fish for free because the Ponds Conservancy co-sponsors their annual Kid’s Fishing Rodeo. The Rodeo will be on Saturday, April 22 nd this year. While we’re seeing less and less each year, we may still experience some of the local population coming in to fish and hunt on the property. We at the management office address this when we see it, but need your help as well as much of it happens on the weekends. Please call the Sheriff’s Department or DNR when you see hunters in the Ponds. The Sheriff’s Department can generally get here quicker than DNR, but both will help keep the trespassers in check. FROM THE MANAGER’S DESK

Greetings Ponds Residents,

at the ponds, but please be careful not to exit canoes

and kayaks and step into the fish beds.

NEW EVENTS / REMINDERS & UPDATES

Covenants Corner

Greetings Ponds Residents,

Each spring we get many requests for

landscape changes from homeowners. Pride

in home ownership is readily apparent, and

we’re happy to see it. The process for

approval of changes to the landscaping is an

easy one, and the DRB has allowed

management to approve many of the request

without the need to wait for their monthly

meeting. Please don’t hesitate to call or email

the Farmhouse office about changes to your

home or lot.

During our weekly inspections of the

community, we are starting to see some

weeds in the turf beds. The spring is a good

time to apply some weed & feed. There are

several on the market, but Scotts Weed &

Feed for Southern Lawns is a popular one.

Weeds are easy to see this time of year

before the grass greens up. So take

advantage of that and take a few minutes to

review your lawn and landscaping to address

problem areas. Now’s the time of year to

fertilize and increase watering for the warmer

season.

Sincerely,

Steve Grimes
