Attend ASHRAE ANNUAL Meeting for FREE!
Registration for the ASHRAE Annual meeting (June 26th - June 30th) in Atlanta will open soon, probably this
week.
Since this Annual meeting is in our Region, the Atlanta Chapter is hosting this meeting, and is looking for
monitors to monitor the technical sessions. This consists of a commitment for 4 hours on one day to scan
badges of attendees to the technical sessions – not really complicated. As a monitor, you receive free
complimentary registration for the ENTIRE technical session, which is 5 days of technical information and
over $400 if you register without being a monitor. I want to encourage anyone and everyone from Region IV to
apply to be a monitor.
(Please note that Comp registration does not include the social activities. You still must pay for those events if
you choose to attend those events.)
Now Accepting Applications for Leadership U Applications for the YEA Leadership U program are being accepted until March 23, 2015. The program is
taking place during the Annual Conference in Atlanta, GA June 26 through July 2, 2015. Leadership U pairs
YEA members with Society officers during ASHRAE Conferences, allowing members to participate in all
Society officer events and board meetings, including social activities. YEA Members can learn more and
register here.
LeaDRS Program (Leadership Development through Regional Support)

of the current DRC at the Society Meetings. The objective of the program is to encourage the participants to
work toward higher Regional and Society roles. LeaDRS will be a program run, funded, and administered by
the Region. Each Chapter may nominate one member. Chapters receiving multiple applicants will select one
Chapter nominee by a Chapter Nomination Committee vote. It is recommended the Chapter Nomination
Committee include, at a minimum, the Chapter President, YEA Chapter Chair, and Membership Chair.
Chapter selections will need to be submitted to the YRC, Lee Huffines, by March 20th 2015 at
[email protected]. Final selection will be by a Regional Selection Committee vote. The Regional Selection
Committee include, at a minimum, the DRC, YRC, and Membership RVC. Program recipient will be notified
by April 1st, 2015
Expenses covered will include the reduced registration fee; travel to and from airport, lodging at conference
hotel, and meal per Diem of $50/day. Documentation must be proved for reimbursement. The LeaDRS
Program recipient is responsible for the balance of any expenses not approved.
