It seems as if it was just yesterday that I was sitting down trying to figure out what I would write in my first presidents corner. Here it is a year later and I am writing my last article. My year went by so quickly! When I look back over this last year, I am very proud to have been a part of what was accomplished in this club with the help of a dedicated board of di- rectors, support staff, trip committee and member- ship. In this year of a questionable economy, we tried a few new ideas and some last minute changes which resulted in the majority of our trips being com- pleted as planned. We also made an effort to create membership meetings that were both enjoyable and informative. We enjoyed wine and beer tasting, dance lessons and learned how lives were impacted by blood cancers. I would like to commend the mem- bership for their overwhelming support of The Leukemia Lymphoma Societies Ski4life event. This year the membership stepped up to Participate, Do- nate and Volunteer to “help send cancer downhill”. I hope to see many of you at Ski Roundtop on Satur- day, March 6th to cheer SSC on. My tenure as President of SSC has been both a pleasure and a learning experience. I would like to thank the board of directors and the membership for giving me this opportunity to experience all this past year has offered. Brenda, I have one thing to say to you--- “You are about to start on a year that you will never forget!!!” So for the last time Keep your tips up!! Becky Support SSC s SKI4LIFE Participants Now!!
