PRESIDENT’S CORNERGreeting SSC Members! It seems as if it was justyesterday that I was sitting down trying to figure outwhat I would write in my first president’s corner. Hereit is a year later and I am writing my last article. Myyear went by so quickly!

When I look back over this last year, I am veryproud to have been a part of what was accomplishedin this club with the help of a dedicated board of di-rectors, support staff, trip committee and member-ship. In this year of a questionable economy, we trieda few new ideas and some last minute changeswhich resulted in the majority of our trips being com-pleted as planned. We also made an effort to createmembership meetings that were both enjoyable andinformative. We enjoyed wine and beer tasting,dance lessons and learned how lives were impactedby blood cancers. I would like to commend the mem-bership for their overwhelming support of TheLeukemia Lymphoma Societies Ski4life event. Thisyear the membership stepped up to Participate, Do-nate and Volunteer to “help send cancer downhill”. Ihope to see many of you at Ski Roundtop on Satur-day, March 6th to cheer SSC on.

My tenure as President of SSC has been both apleasure and a learning experience. I would like tothank the board of directors and the membership forgiving me this opportunity to experience all this pastyear has offered. Brenda, I have one thing to say toyou--- “You are about to start on a year that you willnever forget!!!”
