Geochemical work was done on these claims between May 31st and June 3rd 1980.
INTRODUCTION
The Baldy Claims were staked in May 1980 to cover an area along the Yukon/Alaska border containing anomalous soil/sil t geochemistry and Cu, Pb, Zn sulphide float. The region is underlain by quartz, muscovite, chlorite schists mapped as the Kondike Schist.
This report is based on results of a grid-soil sampling program conducted between May 31st - June 3rd, 1980. The aim of this program was to define the size of the anomalous area by soil-grid-geochemistry.
Personnel employed during the course of this study include:

LOCATION AND ACCESS
The Baldy claims are located on the Yukon/Alaska border 48 miles west of Dawson City.
The Claims lie within the Dawson Mining Division and are located at 140059'Nlongitude and 64O47'Wlatitude. Access is by he1 icopter from Dawson City. The Top of the World Highway lies about 1 1/2,miles to the south of the claim group.
SUMMARY
Assessment work conducted on the claim group includes grid-soil-sampling and prospecting. The grid area has been sampled at 25 m intervals along lines spaced approximately 150 m apart. The most significant result is a coincident Cu, Pb, Zn soil geochemical anomaly adjacent to the international border. This anomaly is approx. 500-600 m long and 100- 400 m wide.
GEOLOGY
The claims are underlain by a sequence of quartz-chlorite schists which trend E/W across the property and dip to the north. Sheared granitic and ryholitic rocks occur along strike to the East. These above units are underlain by Paleozoic graphitic quartzites, phyll ites and minor carbonates of the Nasina Series. Structurally the area has been folded into an overturned syncline with the chloritic schist host rocks occupying the central portion of the fold.
MINERALIZATION
Some p&$fitic Cu,Pb,Zn f l o a t has been found i n a creek bed as shown on t h e at tached maps. The m i n e r a l i z a t i o n occurs as s t r a t i f o r m disseminat ions o f spha le r i te, cha lcopyr i te , galena and p y r i t e i n quartz, muscovite, c h l o r i t e host rocks. One sample submitted f o r assay contained 1.44% Zn, 0.3% Pb, 0.1% Cu, 0.2 oz / t . Ag and 0.002 oz / t . Au. Minor disseminated galena i n c h l o r i t e s c h i s t has a l s o been found i n slumped t a l u s along t h e creek bank. A l l t h e minera l i zed f l o a t occurrences a r e loca ted i n t h e area conta in ing t h e co inc iden t Cu, Pb, Zn soi l -geochemical anomaly.
GEOCHEMISTRY
Approximately 350 gr id-soi l -samples were c o l l e c t e d and analyzed f o r Cu, Pb, Zn us ing t h e atomic absorp t ion method. One s i g n i f i c a n t anomalous area was detected and i s l oca ted adjacent t o the Alaska/Yukon border. Th i s area i s approximately 500-600 m. long, 100-500 m wide and i s anomalous i n Cu, Pb and Zn. Pb i s t h e most anomalous element w i t h values commonly i n t h e 100-200 ppm range; background values are approx. 10-25 ppm. Two samples contained over 700 ppm Pb. Anomalous Zn values a r e i n t h e range of 100-200 ppm w i t h background values o f 50-75 ppm. Anomalous Cu values are i n t h e range o f 25-100 ppm w i t h background values of 10-15 ppm. Elsewhere on t h e g r i d area a few small sca t te red anomalies do occur, however, they a r e r e s t r i c t e d t o a small number o f anomalous samples, and these samples a r e u s u a l l y on l y anomalous i n one element.
CONCLUSIONS AND INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS
1) Th is p rope r t y conta ins a s i g n i f i c a n t co inc iden t Cu, Pb, Zn geochemical s o i l anomaly.
2) Low grade s t r a t a - c o n t r o l l e d Cu, Pb, Zn m i n e r a l i z a t i o n has been found as f l o a t i n t h e area conta in ing t h e above geochemical anomaly and i s suggested t o be the source f o r t h e anomaly.
3) The Cu, Pb, Zn m i n e r a l i z a t i o n i s hosted w i t h i n t h e same s t r a t i g r a p h i c sequence as t h e Boundary prospect loca ted about 1 m i l e t o t h e west across t h e A1 aska border.
