Annual Requesting Mapping/Surveys Cycle Progress


1. 07-02-18 to 07-31-18: Face-to-face mapping meetings with Division and

Central staff (as needed) to prepare for the upcoming cycle

2. 08-01-18: Send Mapping Request / Documentation to Divisions and

Central Project Delivery Teams

3. 09-07-18: Regional Mapping Meetings are scheduled in advance to be

accomplished 10-01-18 to 10-18-18

4. 09-17-18: Completed Mapping Request spreadsheet and DGN limits are

submitted to Photogrammetry / Location & Surveys – Send to Keith

Johnston at [email protected] and Dale Burton at [email protected]

5. 10-01-18 to 10-18-18: Regional Mapping Meetings conducted with Division

& Central Project Managers, Photogrammetry, and Location & Surveys

6. 10-18-18: Mapping products and limits with tentative delivery schedules

are identified at Regional Meetings

7. 11-15-18: Photogrammetry / Location & Surveys submit revised delivery

schedules to Division Engineers and appropriate Division and Central staff

for Prioritization

8. 12-05-18: Division Engineers and appropriate Division and Central staff

establish final product delivery dates3

• No PE funding required

• Good resource for corridor selection, limited design,

creating mapping & surveys limits, and display purposes

• Contact your Division L&S Engineer or Photogrammetry

• 2016 – 2017 data in western counties is not available through “Extract

DEM” tool. For this region, the certified LiDAR data from the 2003 & 2005

LiDAR flights is available through the “Extract DEM” tool.

• Photogrammetry can supply preliminary 201617 QL2 LiDAR data upon

request.

NOTE: Western Piedmont QL2 LiDAR expected to be certified and available in “Extract DEM” tool

first quarter 2019
