Each summer Humble ISD provides testing sessions for students who wish to attempt credit by exam for acceleration to skip a grade and/or course. There will be a change this year in our middle school math placement exam process. Current 6th and 7th grade students who wish to advance to an honors mathematics class from an on level mathematics class will follow the same testing pro-cedure and schedule as all other students taking credit by exam for acceleration. This spring we will have two testing sessions on Saturday, Saturday, May 18, and Saturday, June 1. We will have summer testing every Thursday beginning June 13.

Summer Testing Sessions Thursday, June 13 Thursday, June 20 Thursday, June 27 Thursday, July 11 Thursday, July 18 Thursday, July 25

Thursday, August 1 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Testing Locations:

Humble High School Instructional Support Center Humble Administrative Bldg. 1700 Wilson Rd. 4810 Magnolia Cove 20200 Eastway Village Drive Humble, TX 77338 Kingwood, Texas Humble, TX 77338

Testing Criteria: To skip a grade, elementary students must take 4 tests and middle school students

must take 8 tests - Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science for the grade they wish to skip. A score of 90% is required on all tests for the student to be eligible to skip the grade. Tests are given over 2-3 days with two tests each day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon with a lunch break in between. Students are allowed 3 hours for each test although they rarely use that much time. Parents should be available on testing days so they can be reached if students finish early.
