We are proud to offer another powerful group of bulls. 2013 was marked

as one of our most successful years yet, a huge thank you to all those

who supported our program by bidding and buying! The performance

and conformation of this year’s bulls is even more exciting.

Our goal remains the same... we are dedicated to maximizing the performance

of commercial cattle. We are committed to selling bulls that will put money in your

pocket when you sell your calves in the fall. The profit is in the pounds that go to market.

We believe these bulls will do that! Although we strive for performance and gains, calving ease is also a

crucial factor in our selection. You are welcome to come out to see our newborns and see for yourself.

The hybrid vigour and the homozygous polled are a bonus!

We are commercial producers improving the herd sires for commercial cattle producers.

Our Wheatland Bull 786T is proving himself to be an elite Simmental sire. He is the full brother to the great

Wheatland 680S. And our newest addition Wheatland High Voltage 122Y’s progeny is just as impressive!

Their performance and calving ease are outstanding. Our 786T females are surpassing our expectations.

They are stylish females that have great production and performance with reduced feed inputs. The goal

is to wean the calf at 60% or more of the mother’s weight. Our 2013 weaning weights and percentages

were once again outstanding. We have been extremely pleased with the 786T Bomber and Roughrider

daughters. They have beautiful udders and great mothering instincts with a great disposition. We invite you

to come out at take a tour with us anytime!

The 2013 fall show run was another successful one! At the Manitoba Livestock Expo we captured banners

in the following: Champion Pen of Bulls, Reserve Champion Junior Simmental Bull, Reserve Champion

Junior Simmental Female, Champion Red Angus Heifer Calf, Champion Prospect Steer and Champion

Prospect Heifer.

In the past we have offered the Bull Wintering program. This special program offers over-wintering of your

bull here at Maple Lake Stock Farms. We offer this service to you at the cost of feed and yardage. The

bulls will be at Maple Lake from November 1st until April 15th. This offer is only available to Maple Lake

raised bulls. We are very excited to offer this type of service to our buyers!

Finance Program:It is encouraged that amounts be paid in full on sale day. A minimum of $2500/bull is required, sale day. The remaining amount can be left with a post-dated cheque for October 1, 2014. Sight-Unseen Terms:Sight-Unseen and/or over the phone purchases will be taken sale day. Bull Housing & Delivery:Bulls not being taken sale day will be kept at Maple Lake Stock Farms until May 1, 2014, free of charge and delivery will be made at the convenience of Maple Lake Stock Farms. After May 1, 2014, yardage will be charged at $3.00/head/day and must be picked up by the buyer.

Insurance:Insurance will be available sale day from Kirkup Agencies- David Kirkup.

*It is encouraged that all purchases be insured. *All bulls kept at Maple Lake after May 1st MUST be insured for the time they are at Maple Lake Stock Farms.

Bull Wintering Program:This special program will offer over-wintering of your bull here at Maple Lake Stock Farms. We will offer this program to you at the cost of feed and yardage (may vary from year to year). The bulls will be at Maple Lake from November 1st until April 15th. This offer is available to Maple Lake raised bulls ONLY.

Terms:Each animal will sell to the highest bidder… no by-bidding will be permitted. Disputes- bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. The auctioneers’ decision on all disputes will be final. Maple Lake Stock Farms reserves the right to draw semen, for in herd use only, on all bulls in the sale. All sales are in Canadian funds. Exchange rate is as of the day of the sale.

American Visitors:The nearest port is the Goodlands Port; it is only open 9 AM-9 PM. The Boissevain Port is a bit further east but is open 24 hours. If you are a citizen of the United States; you do not need a passport to enter Canada. However, you should carry proof of your citizenship, such as a birth certificate, certificate of citizenship or naturalization, as well as photo identification. wheatland Bull 786t SOnSWe purchased ‘Bomber’ from Wheatland cattle co. in 2008 for $18,000. he is a full brother to the famous Wheatland Bull 680S. he is built like a tank; moderate framed, super stout with tonnes of meat and muscle. he has a fantastic disposition and electric hair. he is homozygous Polled and heterozygous Black. his dam, Wheatland Lady 351n, has earned her spot as one of Wheatland’s top donor cows. in 2009 he bred 50 heifers naturally, as a yearling! We are extremely happy with his daughters. They have perfectly tidy square udder that milk like crazy! his progeny have topped the commercial shows year after year.

We purchased Roughrider from Labatte Simmentals in 2008 for $15,500. he is a solid red, thick, big barrelled bull out of Red Teddy. he comes from two of the top cow families in the industry, Wheatland Lady 902j and iPu Red Pocahontas 52n. as a yearling in 2008, he bred 80 head, both cows and heifers. Then in 2009 he bred 110 head.
